    A question for the publishers

So now that WotC has chosen their top 11, are any other publishers interested in seeing what the other 10,000 of us produced? I know Silverthorne Games is. If you don't want to answer affirmatively in public for fear of being flooded with 10,000 entries, I completely understand. :D If...

11 were Chosen. Own up who was called !

I'm fairly sure WotC has asked them not to say. From what I've read in other threads, they want to continue to keep the process blind, so they don't want people posting to boards (like this one) that WotC folks read. As for posting the one pagers, I'm not sure they want that either. i think...

General setting question - Metaplot or not?

Here's my take: I'm the DM, it's my world. If I like the direction the meta-plot is heading, I'll use it. If not, I ignore it. just tell your players that's what you're doing, so they don't go "but, that's not what's happening anymore...." So if I want the Red Wizards of Thay to be...

    Planar Census Takers

Well for Toril you can do something similar as you did for Oerth (Toril is the name of the FR world right?) The FRCS gives the estimated populations for all the kingdoms in the realms. slightly OT - I see you live in eugene. i graduated U of O in 2001. eugene rocks. you ever go to the...

    WotC Settings Search update

True, but only you know that. It doesn't get filtered by an e-mail system based on content, but rather based on the number of addresses it's being sent to. So if your e-mail filter sees an e-mail addressed to 10,000 people, it will assume it's spam, cause it doesn't know better.

[On topic - NO FLAMES!] God & Satan

The Knowledge Domain Alright a quick question, that for obvious reasons, will delve a little into the theological, although I do not wish to be the one who de-rails this thread. But I do have this question: In all (or at least many) of the lists of God's domains, I've seen people include...

[On topic - NO FLAMES!] God & Satan

Good point. Most sources I've seen say that God communicates with man via angels, the seraphim (sp?) specifically.

[On topic - NO FLAMES!] God & Satan

well in a Christian world, God is definately more powerful than Satan, because Satan is merely a fallen angel, whom God created. Although it's interesting to note that Lucifer got a thrd of the heavenly host to rise with him, and still God didn't just erase them from existence. So perhaps...

    Death banned in French town

There's actually a film out there, "Death Takes a Holiday" I believe it's called, where Death goes on vacation and nobody dies......perhaps that could be the plot. The PCs have to find death and convince him/her to come back to work.... just a thought, Alan

Piratecat writes new book, world on hold!

Not sure why PKitty is being so quiet. I do know my DM is the third author of the book. Maybe I'll ask him if the NDA is uber-draconian. Or it could just be that PK is still recovering from GenCon..... Alan

    Taking the plunge

Actually, all of my players are experienced. We're all in another campaign together, but we wanted something different, a second game to play, so I volunteered. Even my current DM is playing, which makes me nervous. I mean, what happens to my c in his campaign if I accidently kill HIS c in...

    Taking the plunge

Well I've decided to take the plunge and run a game. I've never done it before and I was wondering if all the great DMs who frequent the boards could give me some advice. The campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms (If get a new setting is your advice, you need not respond. :D). I've decided...

    Getting Characters to Run

I'm proud to say that running away while crying like a little girl (female c, no offense intended) has prevented two separate TPKs. I play a half-elf Rngr 1/Bard 6. She sits at the back singing encouragement, and loosing arrows which sometimes hit for damage. After a particularly nasty...

    Read #4750 last night

Well from the looks of things reading this thread and the various GenCon reports, it sounds like they got about 10-11,000 entries, which means that each judge is reading each entry (or at least AV read them all). That certainly puts to rest some of the concerns about having a judge read your...
