    Breastplate

I'm not entirely clear on the need for this. Why should a seventh armor type be added to the game, aside for the sake of tradition? I mean, aesthetically I miss chain shirts and studded leather, but if it's ever a Real Issue I'll just rename my hide armor. (Nobody likes hide.) To put it another...

RPGs based off of Licensed Properties

I always really wanted to try the d20 Starship Troopers game. It looked awesome.

    Mature content

The BoED and BoVD didn't flop because they had mature content. They flopped because they were poorly-written and poorly-balanced.

Is high randomness good for an RPG?

Unpredictability can make a game great fun, but they can also make it very, very hard to run. Save or die effects are the ultimate example of bad randomness in a game. It's not "What will happen next, which could be totally unexpected?"; it's a binary "Do you get to keep playing? Y/N" result.

    Swordmages without swords

Yeah, but then you're spending a feat to use a +2 proficiency bonus 1d6 damage weapon as your primary weapon. That's worse than a short sword. "No implements" also means you're forfeiting twelve of the 83 swordmage powers available, including one of the at-will attack powers.

    Fix Stat Polarity

This is a real issue with 4e - mechanically speaking, your character should put an 18 into his primary attack stat, a 13 in his secondary class stat, and throw a 1 on some other stat arbitrarily. (For some classes, a 17 in the primary stat and a 16 in the secondary stat may be preferable.) If...

"So what's the deal with power cards?"

Short answer: if you find that's just as easy as cards... well, then, you don't really need power cards at all.

Are You Using the 4E Forgotten Realms as a Setting?

I'm not using it as a setting. I never understood the appeal of the setting in 3rd edition, and it's not much more compelling in 4e. Player's Guide has good rules, though. I like the Swordmage a lot.

Have you had a problem with "character dumping"

As a player, I have dumped characters. There should be no restrictions or punishments for doing so. If my character has stopped being fun, for whatever reason, why should I continue to have to play him and not have fun?

Will 4E Eberron be as bad as FR?

I never liked Forgotten Realms enough to be able to say just how bad the 4e FR is, but I have some serious reservations about 4e Eberron. So much of the campaign setting was based on making a world that worked in the way that the 3e rules dictated it should work, and I have a hard time believing...

Is 4e bringing new players to the game?

I'm guessing that the Adventurer's Vault has MM-type sales because you don't really need more than one to a group. If your DM has one, then you don't much need to buy one of your own, probably. Open Grave is probably in the same boat.

What are you doing with the money you aren't spending on gaming products?

You can use money for things other than gaming?

Do official adventures follow DMG advice?

Well, they do suck, actually - as long as you're talking about low-level WOTC 4e modules.

d20 modern Failed...why? (or did it?)

d20 Modern was a strong product line by the end of its lifetime - Urban Arcana is, to date, one of my favorite setting books, but Dark•Matter was good too, as I recall, and the rebranding/re-releasing of Ultramodern Firearms as Weapons Locker was smart, because it was a great book both times...

Forked Thread: Games that are good for lone wolves (Was 4E Consequences: )

Shadowrun. A party of loners was an integral part of that game's basic design, and it's one of the biggest reasons it's such a damned hard game to run - pacing can be very, very hard.

At-will class powers ruining my archetypes

I reserve the right to say "I told you so" when it doesn't work. There are other systems that do have that "feel", you know. Might I suggest Pathfinder?

4E Consequences: Being passive, cautious, or a loner is now unoptimized

I like to call this "The Shadowrun Problem" for exactly that reason. I think it's probably the single biggest problem that game faced.
