Same here. I had it on pre-order when it was first announced, then as I read more and more about it, I grew less and less interested in it. I finally cancelled my order about a month ago. After reading this overview I am very happy that I did.

IMO the elemental clerics are a better fit as warlocks. Elemental clerics were limited to their elemental sphere for spells, with minor access to the Cosmos sphere (where most of the regular cleric spells were). Warlocks have a relatively limited list of spells too, with specific spells granted...

From what I have read so far, monsters and NPC's will not use PC rules for creation. Which means you could potentially have a Level 1 NPC blacksmith with Legendary proficiency but only a +4 modifier.

Lord Shark's take on it was mine as well. Basically, no ability score damage in PF2 is the takeaway. There hasn't been any talk that I've seen about dealing damage yet.

That's true, but unless I'm missing something, Spelljammer wasn't that popular was it? I never played it myself, too goofy looking. These were the results of the setting survey they did last June: "The popularity of settings in the survey fell into three distinct clusters. Not surprisingly...

My guess about the new setting for D&D is that it won't actually be Spelljammer. If history has taught us anything, it's that the presence of a single monster in a book does not preclude a new campaign setting being released. We don't have Dark Sun yet but there are Thri-kreen in the Monster...

I'm thinking this is a reference to 5e's bounded accuracy mechanics. As we all know, PF1 had a diminishing return on pretty much any low-level ability, spell, monster etc. once you got close to level 10. A huge portion of the game basically became obsolete and non-threatening. I'm assuming this...

It didn't really take off, no. If you look at their forums you'll find barely any activity there, for either the GoT forums (maybe one or two online games going) nor the Chronicle System forums (virtually dead). All fan inquiries into what's next for the Chronicle system are generally replied...

I am thinking at least one of these products will be the psionics and/or artificer supplement that's been in the works. This could include setting details for dark sun, eberron, etc. as required. But who knows.
