I'll admit I'm not sure I get the overall philosophy of Sigil.
It is separate from DnDBeyond, which never made sense. Sure, you can import stuff, but why not just use DnDBeyond as the backend from the beginning (like Maps) and go from there?
I mean, that's a live demo at an event....so I'm not sure what you'd expect?
To answer the question in the OP, I'd guess yes. 3 or so people isn't enough to build assets and squash bugs, let alone finish the development in a timely manner.
I agree that just getting 3d minis on maps with a different angle would be great. That's how it looks at home for many..... And something I begged them to start with in sigil. Great UI, great integration with DND beyond, then 3d.....
I'm not that worried.... More wondering how it's working for people that have one. Or, how big do you want your table, so you can easily reach the middle? Do you have room for books or character sheets? What's an ideal table, I just started with the TV question for some reason.
You always read not to lay a tv on its side, but many people build gaming tables with TVs in them. Do we know how long these TVs last? I am just about done finishing the basement, and one of the rooms will have dedicated gaming space. I'd like to convert my gaming table, which is just a dining...
I'm not sure why we'd have to think about how many of those are on the planet to answer the questions. But I get most here won't agree with me, and I've made my point, so I'll bow out.
This black and white, yes no, thinking is not something I agree with. I didn't agree that I can't do the latter without spending days figuring out demographics. I don't have to think about it to improvise whatever I want. Like I said, we likely won't agree.
This is the way. Monsters should be about fun and variety and surprises. I've never understood this idea that monsters follow the same rules as PCs. I almost didn't post this out of fear of derailing the thread, but you went first....
That last part is why I think there should be a simplified combat block, and then more data, in some standard format. I also thank that as we age, gather experience, and play for years, it's just harder to create a sense of wonder.
