You do have to be rigorous about who you have playtest and how you incorporate that into your design, especially as an Indie dev. I am still perfecting that aspect of design.

Fantastic jobs this month. I think the Uncanny Magazine call is especially forward thinking. A shame none of them are here in the ATL, but good jobs none the less.

As usual this is a great synopsis of the issue. I would love to look through the Gamma World stuff.

I get that and different groups certainly handle it differently. But good sarcastic wit is a bit different than silly and goofy humor, the former is fine but the latter does not appeal to me as a GM or player. At least for a bad guy game.

I can see that, especially as many of them come from the same DNA/lineage/style. But there are many good OSR games out there, by authors who are not problematic that it may be worth giving a look. There is a degree of saturation though, I agree.
