Made sense in 1E/2E when Rangers where just better Fighters more or less. But yeah 5E Drizzt is more a Fighter/Monk/Barb. Like 9/10/1 All of his nature lore etc is just background and skill choices.

I meant for long rests. Which also helps to space out short rests. Don't want to blow everything before noon.

One way I stopped players from abusing short and long rests is “Youve been up 3 hours, you still have 10ish hours to go

I assume its because no one should die in 5E ;)
