If all the designers who left WotC...

Ah, yes. I didn't know what that was on the horizon. Thanks for clearing it up that it was the goalposts. --Erik

    Today, I...

It's great to see that the Pathfinder RPG Beginner Box is working as intended. We put a ton of time and effort into it, and stories like these definitely make it feel like that time was well spent! Thanks for sharing your experiences here. And thanks especially to those who have used the...

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo website down?

Heh. I was just stopping by here to post the same thing, and I'm pleased to see that Iron Wolf beat me to the punch! We've contacted our ISP and they're aware of the problem. We hope to get this issue resolved as rapidly as possible. Thanks for your patience, everyone! --Erik Mona Publisher...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Battles: Rise of the Runelords Minis

Our pals at WizKids don't really understand Pathfinder sizes yet. I try and try and try, but they use "colossal" to mean "a really big miniature." That's not how we use the word, obviously, but they don't fully get that yet, so they sometimes get confused (bless their hearts). Rune giants in...

    Paizo New Product Announcements

My adorable little pug Ptolemy is all the dog I'll ever need. But I could always use a neat new prestige class! :) --Erik

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Battles: Rise of the Runelords Minis

Just to clarify a bit, every miniature in the set appears in the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path, but not every monster in the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path gets a mini (because that would be like 300 minis). There are fewer than 300 minis in the Rise of the Runelords set. --Erik...

The Crapification of Organized Play - Unavoidable?

There's a fair amount of time-dilation going on in this classics vs. Living Greyhawk debate. To wit, the shift in preferences in RPGA play started years before Living Greyhawk, and really began with the Living City campaign. Before third edition had arrived, Living campaigns (including Living...

    new mearls interview?

I think it goes without saying that the GSL or anything similar is a non-starter for us, but we'll see how things shake out. The OGL worked wonders with third edition, and if you're trying to choose between the two approaches, it's pretty obvious which one is the smarter business move for...

    Living Campaigns

Two early spinoffs of the RPGA's Living City campaign were the Living City of Sarbreenar, a smaller UK-based self-contained campaign set in a small town south of Raven's Bluff. To my knowledge, this campaign petered out about the time Living Greyhawk came out, so it's possible that it never had...

    3.0 Era Polyhedron

You're looking for Dungeon #95, the Polyhedron with Mecha-Crusade. The system is by Mike Mearls, and it's called "Alert Factor." It originally appeared in the Fiery Dragon adventure "To Stand on Hallowed Ground." I thought it was nifty. --Erik

Pathfinder 1E Plastickrack - Pathfinder Miniatures Edition

WizKids has had a lot of success with that product format in their other brands, and wanted to give it a shot with Pathfinder Battles. I suspect they think the hardcore collectors will buy them by the brick or the case, whereas the lower price point for individual boosters make them an easier...

Pathfinder 1E Plastickrack - Pathfinder Miniatures Edition

There are no plans at present to reprint the set. Once again, though, I will remind people that this is a MANUFACTURER sell-out. There are still plenty of boosters out in the hobby stores, at hobby distributors, at for sale on paizo.com. --Erik

Pathfinder 1E Plastickrack - Pathfinder Miniatures Edition

I could be really out to lunch here, but with a couple of exceptions (already noted in this thread), I think the majority of the Heroes & Monsters minis _are_ on the same scale as DDMs. This is more an issue of fine tuning and calibration than it is a major catastrophic flaw in the line, or...

Pathfinder 1E Plastickrack - Pathfinder Miniatures Edition

Heroes & Monsters contains _zero_ common "heroes". The closest are the Watch Guard and Watch Officer, which we felt people would want multiples of. Beyond that it's stuff like orcs and skeletons and what have you. No good guys. You can see a list of the entire set by rarity here. --Erik Mona...

Pathfinder 1E Plastickrack - Pathfinder Miniatures Edition

What I meant is the thickness of the plastic, the bendiness, if you will. WizKids has a way of altering this within the same mini, so that some parts of the mini are more rigid than others. Getting this wrong means droopy swords, bendy bases, etc. --Erik

    3.0 Era Polyhedron

Nope. I think Wizards of the Coast considered our Shackled City compilation to be competition for their own offerings, so after that they denied pretty much all of our compilation requests. And the rest is history.... --Erik
