How do you prefer to earn/award XPs?

Same here. I prefer to level when the DM agrees it's the right time.

What Supplement Monsters Deserve a Promotion to Core?

To repeat some earlier posters, myconids, warforged, flumphs, nimblewrights, kenku, brain-in-a-jars, and catfolk are all high on my wish list. Maybe dracolich and grell, also. Although they're more obscure, I like a number of the Tome of Magic (Deadly Dancer, Roving Mauler, Ephemeral Hangman)...

The 4th edition class list so far

Actually, if you'll allow me to be ultra-ultra-picky for a moment, there are actually two class that start with "warlo-". :p The similarity is a bit inconvenient/confusing and certainly an unusual decision, but it's nothing to complain about.

    D&D 4E Women in 4E

I happen to like that one, actually. That armor is utterly mundane compared the designs in some of the WH40k art I've seen. Huh? I don't see Lulu as gothic lolita at all.

    D&D 4E Women in 4E

IMHO, practical, realistic armor is boring to draw and boring to look at. I dislike "chainmail bikini"-type drawings not because the armor designs are unrealistic, but because they're simplistic, because I don't find them "sexy," and because, to quote Aus_Snow, "I would like to be able to take...

    Design and Development: Cosmology

You want the druid to have more stuff?!?

    D&D 4E Women in 4E

The problem, IME, is that, if a character is drawn to be "sexy," and the viewer does not agree with the artist's idea of attractiveness, the piece will end up looking much, much worse in that viewer's eye than if it wasn't drawn with the intention of being "sexy" in the first place. I don't find...

Dear WotC - You suck at names.

Total agreement. Pronounceable, fittingly descriptive, and memorable.

    Design and Development: Cosmology

Yes! I'm even more enthusiastic than I was after reading the recent demon/devil article. This new approach to the cosmology (note that the term "plane/planar" was only used once in the article--let's hope they keep that up!) is simpler and would seem to lend itself well to individual...

D&D 4E What do you think of the 4E background to demons & devils?

Stole the words right out of my mouth...err, keyboard. I love it.

Unarmed combat: you can junk the monk

Err..no. You've offered evidence that the monk should be "junked" in 3.5, and not very convincing evidence at that (IMHO). Pointing out an apparent imbalance between X and Y beyond 20th level isn't likely to surprise anyone.

    Shadowrun D20

Which aspects of Shadowrun are you hoping to emulate in d20? d20 Modern+Future+Cyberspace has most of what you'll need. Alternatively, although it's a steampunk RPG, Etherscope has a lot in common with Shadowrun (and a nice cyberspace--err, etherspace--system of its own) and could easily be...

    D&D 4E 4E Devils vs. Demons article

Wow... I am impressed. Speechless, even. If all the monsters in the MM1 are this well thought out, I wonder what changes we will see to the illithids' and giths' backgrounds.

    Squares and Facing

A very good thing. Facing is the last thing I want to see in 4e.

    Changelings in The PHB? (Vote)

I hope we, at the very least, see changelings as a PC race in the MM1. They are, by their very nature, easily explained in non-Eberron settings.
  17. Masquerade

Just because the Warforged is mentioned in a playtest doesn't mean it's in the PHB

I hope that this is the case! It's clear that warforged are not wanted in the PHB, but having them in the MM doesn't require those of us who like warforged to wait an extra year for the new Eberron book. Nice compromise. Also, I imagine that even many DMs who don't play in Eberron can...

What is your top question/concern about 4th edition?

Point taken. I entirely respect your opinion as well, and I can see where you are coming from. However, I disagree that D&D cannot be all of these things. Realistically, of course, age does play a major part here. What might be foreign to your perception of D&D (call it anime or wuxia or...

    Elemental Planes Killed

see, I don't mean to belittle your argument, but I think you are definitely overreacting. That blog entry really gives us no idea how extreme these changes will be or what they will entail. (BTW, I find your choice of the term "killed" ironic since this is the first confirmation we've had that...
