Modern Characters in DnD Adventures, how compatible?

Second World Sourcebook is an elaborate treatise on mixing Mod & D&D. It's 3.0, but still worthwhile for any experienced DM.

Help me use Mutants & Masterminds for modern fantasy (a la Savannah Knights)

To Ranger Wickett RangerWickett-- BTW, could you give your insight to incuding EoM w/d20Mod? Is it as simple as making the Mage an advanced class, or do you incorporate some special Talent Trees into the Base Classes?

Best SF system to introduce girlfriend to

Hard Nova 2 I'd also check Hard Nova ][ from Politically Incorrect Games (at their website or RPGNow). It's cheap, versatile, and simple with a universal 2d6 mechanic. You can use the default setting or adapt it to any "space opera" milieu. Expansions are also available.

    M&M edition difference?

Does anyone know of a quick way to look at an M&M core rulebook on a shelf and tell if it is an original printing or the revised version?

What is the best d20 book no one talks about?

Forbidden Kingdoms Master Codex: This did modern before Modern. It still does pulp better than most. It incorporates Ken Hood's Grim & Gritty, Martial Arts, and Psionics rules. The printed version was horribly edited, but the pdf fixed all that. Definitely in my Top 10.

Atlantis: Second Age (The Arcanum of old)

I have the original atlas and bestiary (used AD&D for rules). I would like to see one big d20 book and one big Tal4 book.

    d20 Prime Directive

To JMT: starship combat other than SFB? I asked this question of Mr. Thompson on the ADB board, but I'll ask here also: GPD offered information on using GURPS Space for ship combat in addition to SFB info. Will PD20 include a starship combat system alternative to SFB?

Who else considers he has now enough d20 stuff and won't buy more?

Do I need any more d20? No. Do I want any more d20? Perhaps in the following product lines: Bad Axe's Grim Tales (anything) Malhavoc's Iron Lore (3 basic books) QLI's Traveller T20 (TNE1248) ADB's d20 Prime Directive (any) Nothing else.

    Iron Lore: Malhavoc's Surprise?

Grim Tales vs. Iron Lore As to the previous Grim Tales vs. Iron Lore exchanges, I am firmly in the Grim Tales AND Iron Lore camp. Wulf-- I love Grim Tales. If I had to choose one invaluable d20 book, this might be it (thankfully, not the case). Mike--Bring it on! I am also a hopeless...

[Bad Axe Games] Products on the horizon?

Wither 3.5? Wulf-- From your response it looks like you're focusing solely on GT-related stuff. I'm all for that, but I was (at one time) looking for the HOHF Anthology. However, if you can re-use the crunchy stuff for GT supplements, go for it. For example, the HOHF:Elves spell-building...

    Top 5 D&D Books

Oh Grim one, I've been wondering about a Grim Sci-Fi, but it may not be necessary. (Ramble On) Perhaps GT, part 2: GT has post-apocalyptic stuff, vehicles, etc.; you've got an alien generator at RPGNow; Slavelords shows us some alternate tech. Maybe all we need is an environmental (or for...

    Top 5 D&D Books

Actually, if I had MY notebook, I wouldn't really need any other books, including the core ones. At the risk of hijacking the thread, I think I could get down to 3 books without including the core: Grim Tales (rules, rules, rules, and monster generator) Modern Players Handbook (chargen...

    Hardbounditis

Personally, I like Mongoose's approach of offering a full-sized hardbound and "pocket-sized" paperback. Throw in a pdf offering and you would have the best of all worlds. Obviously, only primary rule & setting books would merit such treatment, but one can dream...
