Recruiting 1-2 players - D20 Call of Cthulhu - Fog over Buenos Aires

Crap - am I too late for this game? I am a gringo, but I loves me some Argentina, Borges and San Martin (um, and O'Higgins!)

Call of Cthulhu Saga Edition ;)

I love it, except there is a Madison, Va up in the mountains :p

    Pandemic

I'd love for someone to tell me where I can find one. I think it's scheduled to be reprinted in September.

    Best skill challenge ever.

'Tis a dedicated gamer that moves to the play location for in-depth research! Our Ars Magica DM took a side trip to Austria for a closer look at the area we chose for our saga. He knew more about the region than some of the locals he encountered.

Conspiracy X - useful for source material?

The rules for setting up a cell and stocking it with goodies are a neat idea for groups that like resource allocation. And getting bennies by guessing zener cards is cool, I don't care who you are.

Board games you own and would recommend

Fury of Dracula is fun, like Scotland Yard with a better system of hidden movement. And vampires. War of the Ring is awesome for 2 players. You feel like you're in the books - but you can change them.

    Advanced/prestige classes in d20 CoC?

Well, the OP mentions lowering minimums for Advanced Classes, so I don't think he's considering having the group take on a GOO. At anything below 10th level, I feel that anything that strengthens the bond between player and character is good for horror.

93Games Studio released 3 "Arcane Adventures" that would work.

    Hey Publishers, fair use?

Right off the bat, though, the list cited earlier omits satire, which is an accepted fair use. The factors are not cut and dried - working with their framework to fit your case is what law is all about. And "making money" is certainly permissible. You can sell a textbook that has quotes from...

    Hey Publishers, fair use?

"Fair Use" evolved to allow others to present copyrighted material in a non-commercial fashion. The key question tends to be whether the use of the material by someone else suppresses the demand for it. At least that's my interpretation.

Out of Print games You Miss...

There are still things being released for this system - that should count as in print.

    OGL Magazine?

Regardless of how they feel, it would be legal to do so. Are you suggesting some companies might want to sabotage such a mag?

    True20 with talent trees?

The Expert's Handbook has structured some of its feats in tree-like order. This replicates some of d20 Modern's talent trees.

    Terminator as an RPG...HELP needed

There is an indy game called Prime Time Adventures which is designed to emulate most TV shows. I imagine as long as the character dynamics are important to your game, it doesn't matter what sort of stats a Terminator has. Starman, it's good to see your pixels again. Here is the publisher's...

    Listing of "popular" RPG systems?

Call of Cthulhu certainly covers the ground setting-wise, but I would say fails in the character development arena compared to the other worthy suggestions in this thread.

Has Expeditious Retreat Press expeditiously retreated?

Their website is 404. I was hoping to re-download some files I purchased online. Anyone know how to contact them?

    Whatever happened to Spycraft?

This makes sense, except in light of their ad copy which repeatedly boasts that Spycraft can run anything.
