    Anyone played Masks of Nyarlathotep?

I'll second the deluxe prop set. If you're going to invest the two years required to play the campaign spending the money for the prop set is definitely worth it. I still haven't really looked into running the new edition of Masks with the Companion. I wonder how that would work out since alot...

    Anyone played Masks of Nyarlathotep?

I don't normally play using Pulp rules, but yeah, Masks really benefits from it. Not just in terms of enhanced player survivability but the sort of Indiana Jones vibe the campaign can emit in times really works well with the Pulp rules. I rarely use all of them. You don't even need the real Pulp...

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

You know, different trip, and it was in the bay area. But, I was on the 101 North near San Jose and I went 9 miles in THREE hours. I swore to never complain about Chicago traffic ever again.

Fair, I should specified standing medieval style armies. Ranks of pikemen and all that. Not Dragon RAF vs Drake Luftwaffe.

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

You know, funny story about LA. I happened to be in town for a day and one of my buddies had moved there. I called him up and was like "Hey, let's hang out". We happened to be about 12 miles apart as the crow flies or something like that. And he declined. Turns out, in LA traffic at that time it...

    D&D 5E (2024) Here's The New 2024 Player's Handbook Wizard Art

Right. I think the bigger issue is that even if it's not a spell that's denoted mechanically in a book, people assume the spaces in between must exist. Right, like, if high level clerical magic can literally reverse PC death, then one could assume that they can cure paraplegia as an example...

    D&D 5E (2024) Here's The New 2024 Player's Handbook Wizard Art

Oh, it's not controversial, at least to me, I just find it worth pointing out as sort of a weird diegetic inconsistency. I mean Picard is a bald French man from Yorkshire and we all love him. Lots of stuff fits in that bucket in D&D. I didn't read the middle, say, 100 pages of this thread, are...

Man, I'm glad it's working out for some of you. But the lesson I learned in varying hobby spaces is this: You'll be happier if you don't turn your hobby into a business.

This is like Picard being bald in the 24th century. This wizard can't cast cure astigmatism.

    MCDM Update: The Power Roll

I take it you haven't seen their OGL statement in their books? They let down the side there. TLDR; we get to use previously created Open Game Content, but our mechanics? Naw, that's all product identity. They're not alone in this. Goodman, Monte Cook do it too. Becoming less relevant as they...

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

I agree it's a great pickup. The one thing I would recommend if you are planning on actually playing first edition would be to pick up the Star Wars Sourcebook from '87. Without it, you're missing a bunch of stuff you would expect in the game.

Pathfinder 2E By prohibiting ORC licensing on Pathfinder/Starfinder Infinite, Paizo is now a step closer to WotC's walled garden approach with dmsguild

In this case, we're talking about the Arcana of the Ancients, which is an OGL only product. No ORC or community content involvement.

What Non-D&D TSR RPGs Needs to be Revived?

Oh yeah, agreed. I should have been more clear, I don't mean that I want to see Mythus come back just that I confused what happened with the rights between Mythus and Cyborg Commando for some reason.

What Non-D&D TSR RPGs Needs to be Revived?

Yes. You might be right here. All the DQ guys I know are into doing the Pythagorean theorem to determine their starting hit points. I think I might be thinking of of Dangerous Journeys/Mythus. So, yeah you're right.
