One thing I haven't seen addressed anywhere is whether WOTC will extend weapon masteries to weapon-using monsters and NPCs. Will they? Should they?

Could you spoil those setting mysteries for me (under an appropriate SBlock of course)? Never read the adventures - I bounced off the old versions, despite its gorgeous art when I struggled to figure out what PCs would actually do.

Agreed. More MAD (across all classes) will open up character creation and make it more interesting. Ranged spell attacks should use Dex, fancy battle moves should use Int, etc.

I like the Smite Undead, but I really dislike giving Divine Spark to everyone - seems lazy to have a ranged heal provided by default to everyone. I prefer most characters having to chose between a touch-range Cure spell and a weaker Healing Words.
