    Looking for a Feat...

OT: Why? Putting the feat in a PDF doesn't make it any better or worse, and printing it doesn't change the content one bit. All that means is that somebody was capable of using Acrobat to lay it out and save-as->PDF.

    AEG Loses Stargate SG-1!!!

Eden better not get it. Everything I've seen about that company has made me dislike them. Their owner is fond of posting personal attacks against people who say they don't like his company/products. He accused people who didn't want to buy his DRMed pdfs of stealing food from his kids. They...

Armor as DR and light weapons

He said he's using the variant from UA, which is exactly that.

    Custserv says SRD is wrong.

There is no published 3.5 version of the epic rules. The only one there is is in the epic SRD. They kinda-sorta converted it over, but you have to be careful, for instance, they still have the epic feat Mighty Rage, even though that ability was made part of the core barbarian in 3.5.

    Book of Iron Might Review

Thanks for the review. This could be just the book I've been looking for. Might even be enough for me to sign up for drivethru (it's watermarked not DRMed) if I can't find it hardcopy locally. I'm still going to work on my own high-level-fighter feat chains and stuff, but this might be a lot...

Armor as DR and light weapons

Daggers were used against heavily armored foes when they were helpless and unable to resist. You forced them through the visor or under the arm where the armor was weakest. If this is your only concern, then simply let a coup de grace ignore armor DR. He chose to bring a knife to a...

Parrying as a bonus to AC

Wow, it's like I'm not the one who posted in the very first post: ;) I've used the dragon mag feats, 301 as noted above, and they're swell for what they are, but they add another roll to the attack resolution sequence. For the 5 to 9 or more attacks that a single character can make in a full...

Parrying as a bonus to AC

Aye, and hit points. Taking the hit on your shield, or blocking the guy's punch with your forearm, or his kick with your leg, is hit point damage, really.

    Tell me about Exalted

They had almost this exact thread on rpg.net a couple of weeks ago; over there, there is a large exalted contingent. For your reading pleasure To answer your specific question, D&D characters seem to have exaltedesque capabilities around 15th level+, I think. That is, the character is clearly...

Parrying as a bonus to AC

Well, normally, parrying is well represented by combat expertise, but I wanted to put another feat in the chain. So, one for overpowered. :) Would it be better as just +1 per 5 BAB, ignoring stat bonuses altogether? The barbarian/fighter/whatever would have to sink a feat into combat...

Parrying as a bonus to AC

I'm not a big fan of parrying as yet another roll in the round. Particularly at high levels, this tends to bog things down. I'd like to try it as a bonus to AC, based on the skill of the parry-er. What do you (all) think of this feat? Parry: Prereq: BAB +5, Combat Expertise If you are...

    Superior Expertise

Ah, found it, it's in Deities and Demigods (for no reason I can comprehend), and also the D&Dg srd addition that was made not too long ago. Excellent. Actually, there's a lot of pretty good feats in there that I didn't think were SRDed.

    Superior Expertise

Anybody know the source for this feat? It's not in the standard SRD, or any book I can think to check in, but googling finds it in a couple of online htmlized SRDs.

    Let's Talk Blue Rose

There were no iterative attacks in MnM. Since they were trying to trim stuff in BR as well, I doubt they put them back in.

Help me think up new Str & Con based skills

Why more for constitution? Constitution is a passive thing. It's how tough you are. Health and stamina. Hit points. No skills needed there. Resisting hardship is hit points and your fortitude save. Actually, concentration should be a mental thing, probably wisdom- perception, and the...

Power Attack, Two Handed Weapons and Crit

You can figure that out empirically; I'm playing a greatsword-powerattacker and it's starting to be hard to hit stuff. Action Points make full power attacking viable for a longer time, though.

Swapping the rangers favored enemy for an increase in speed

I think the speed increase will come into play a lot more often than the favored enemy bonus would. It's a pretty good ability, I might go with +5' for every favored enemy slot. The scout, from compete adventurer, gets a speed boost, I think, but only in rangerific armor (light and medium, I...

    Air Elemental Whirlwind Questions

It's not natural, it's the air elemental spinning around going "wheeeeeeeee!" So it can form wherever the air elemental is, and move like it too, basically.

    Is there a rule...

It's not specifically disallowed, so go for it. There's no rule that says it's legal specifically, but oh well. The rule about attacking with a -4 to do nonlethal applies to melee weapons, and natural weapons aren't melee weapons, so I would say, um, probably not. Improved Combat Reflexes...

    The Ultimates 2

Wait, what is this "Ultimates 2"? Do you mean the second TPB, the one featuring the and so on? Or are there finally new issues coming out? Because if so, you know, GLEE!
