I'm going to finish my two active D&D campaigns (settings: JG's Wilderlands, Goodman Games' Áereth/DCC setting) - then I'm going with C&C and/or GURPS4e Dungeon Fantasy.

This kind of irony is called FATE. Future generations will believe that GM Day was created in memoriam of Gary Gygax. And they will be right.

I use D&D only for the D&D genre - and D&D3.5 and C&C are more than enough for that. For any other roleplaying experience my system of choice is GURPS4e (or sometimes a bit of Unknown Armies, Storyteller, ORE, Unisystem, or HEX) - and with the advent of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy it will likely kill...

Maybe the PoL - so far, it's looking good...

sounds cool - especially the info about the surrounding area and nearby towns and villages. With this and the dungeons in and under Fallcrest my players should be able to spend quite a few levels there... ;)

I would like to see an actual write-up of the "official" PoL setting, including maps with (and this is important) large white areas of terra incognita: give us the general shape of a continent with several natural boundaries (mountain ranges, jungles, deserts, etc.) and a few small detailed...

1. My Wilderlands campaign - currently at 10th level - was planned for a "big revelation that changes everything" around level 12-14 anyhow. So we're gonna play it until Day X - and then I ask the players. 2. My DCC/Áereth campaign will probably end somehow...

AMEN! An idea: WotC should learn from White Wolf - make the "official" PoL setting into a 3-book deal (setting, big adventure (level 1-10), a collection of iconic PoLs: one city, three towns, six villages)

I would really, really like to see an "official" PoL setting from WotC... ...however, I would also be willing to settle for a custom-made-for-4e PoL setting from Paizo, FFG, or Goodman Games.
