Pathfinder OGL/3.5 RPG system from Paizo

Yay! I may be playing D&D in 2009 after all! ...and I *really* like the stuff from the Alpha-test!

    D&D 4E If Not 4e, Then...

    1. For my "D&D genre" need I'll probably turn to C&C, especially the products of these two fine companies: http://www.adventuregamespubs.com/ - for the "Wilderlands" http://www.goodmangames.com - for Áereth ("DCC World") 2. For other "somewhat D&Dish" kind of games I'll probably use these two...

    July 27. Gary Gygax Day?

Gary's birthday should be Gygax Day - but GM's Day should stay as it is: two holidays are not too much for the man who gave us all the stuff dreams are made of!!!

4E or 3.5 or something else - what's in your future?

I'm going to finish my two active D&D campaigns (settings: JG's Wilderlands, Goodman Games' Áereth/DCC setting) - then I'm going with C&C and/or GURPS4e Dungeon Fantasy.

Gary Gygax has passed. RIP beloved father of RPG's. (merged)

This kind of irony is called FATE. Future generations will believe that GM Day was created in memoriam of Gary Gygax. And they will be right.

Gary Gygax has passed. RIP beloved father of RPG's. (merged)

bye, Gary - your work changed my life and made me the person I am today. Thank you!!!

    Why won't you switch?

I use D&D only for the D&D genre - and D&D3.5 and C&C are more than enough for that. For any other roleplaying experience my system of choice is GURPS4e (or sometimes a bit of Unknown Armies, Storyteller, ORE, Unisystem, or HEX) - and with the advent of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy it will likely kill...

Brilliant Idea for WotC: "Classic Settings" books (and a poll, of sorts)

    1. Mystara 2. Dark Sun 3. Planescape 4. Spelljammer 5. Dragonlance (only with major changes)

    History repeats itself

Amusing? Nope. While I visited ENworld from the earliest days on, I didn't play D&D before the arrival of 3E. And - with D&D3.5 and C&C for nostalgia, and far better systems for everything else (plus the wonderful GURPS Dungeon Fantasy and Dungeon Fantasy 2) - I'm more and more likely to...

Petition to WOTC for POL Map

Perfect 10! ...maybe Wizards should go to White Wolf's nWoD to see how to do this kind of stuff *right* (e.g. VII for V:tR)

Petition to WOTC for POL Map

    ditto seconded and AMEN!

D&D 4E Preparing for 4e - What campaign will you run?

Maybe the PoL - so far, it's looking good...

DMG news from Rich Baker blog

sounds cool - especially the info about the surrounding area and nearby towns and villages. With this and the dungeons in and under Fallcrest my players should be able to spend quite a few levels there... ;)

How Fleshed out IS PoL going to be?

I would like to see an actual write-up of the "official" PoL setting, including maps with (and this is important) large white areas of terra incognita: give us the general shape of a continent with several natural boundaries (mountain ranges, jungles, deserts, etc.) and a few small detailed...

D&D 3.x How do you plan to end your 3E campaign?

    1. My Wilderlands campaign - currently at 10th level - was planned for a "big revelation that changes everything" around level 12-14 anyhow. So we're gonna play it until Day X - and then I ask the players. 2. My DCC/Áereth campaign will probably end somehow...

    D&D 4E New Campaign Setting for 4e (Part 2)

AMEN! An idea: WotC should learn from White Wolf - make the "official" PoL setting into a 3-book deal (setting, big adventure (level 1-10), a collection of iconic PoLs: one city, three towns, six villages)
  18. The Cardinal

    D&D 4E New Campaign Setting for 4e (Part 2)

I would really, really like to see an "official" PoL setting from WotC... ...however, I would also be willing to settle for a custom-made-for-4e PoL setting from Paizo, FFG, or Goodman Games.
