D&D 5E (2024) Are single class martials still going to be viable in 2024?

I haven't seen 5.24 yet but do remember that Action Surge in 5E can be used for far more than an extra Attack action.

    D&D 5E (2014) Greyhawk: Pitching the Reboot

Really? Don't you mean that the PCs commonly encounter magic?

    D&D 5E (2014) Greyhawk: Pitching the Reboot

Yes. Just because the PCs encounter a lot of magic / weird stuff / monsters doesn't mean that everyone encounters a lot of magic etc.

D&D General Why Do You Prefer a Medieval Milieu For D&D? +

I've been on a Bronze Age kick recently but the European Medieval era is both comfortably familiar and comfortably different.

D&D General The Greyhawk Pantheon: How Greyhawk Approaches Deities (& Demigods)

I wonder, how many of Greyhawk's deities are ascended mortals or children of ascended mortals? Some deities - mainly lesser ones - are explicitly stated as such but how far up could they go? Rao seem a reasonable bet, for instance.

This is Eadric's reification, right? I hope you write that episode.

D&D 5E (2014) Escaping from (rope) bonds... What is your ruling?

You have a contradiction here. If it's impossible, there is no check.

D&D 5E (2014) Escaping from (rope) bonds... What is your ruling?

Pretty much DM fiat: "Sorry, you'll have to think of another way to escape those bonds." This is also the opportunity for a hint: "Sorry, those bonds are properly tied you'll need to cut the rope."

D&D 5E (2014) Escaping from (rope) bonds... What is your ruling?

Properly tied ropes are inescapable without help, so no roll allowed (you only roll if the result is in doubt). If the PC has access to something like a knife or a rough surface the question becomes whether or not they can cut the rope and free their hands without dropping the knife or a guard...

D&D 5E (2014) Help Me Name This New Cantrip

That's far too powerful for a cantrip. There's a 5+th level spell in a prior version called - IIRC - Mordenkainen's Lucubration. It's also unsuited to be a cantrip: cantrips are those spells you cast over and over; this one is going to be cast vanishingly rarely. You might want to make this a...

D&D 5E (2014) Apostles of Ruin: Enhanced Villains Eve of Ruin

And another typo: in the section on Iggwilv you have 'enemites' instead of 'enemies'. If you wanted to spice the pot a little more, how about adding in the original, Good, Tasha? Maybe someone exploring Castle Greyhawk resurrected her?

D&D 5E (2014) Apostles of Ruin: Enhanced Villains Eve of Ruin

Spotted another typo: in the entry for Miska you have 'leardership' instead of 'leadership'

D&D 5E (2014) Apostles of Ruin: Enhanced Villains Eve of Ruin

The thing is, magic items are as rare as and of the quality that the DM wants them to be. Either they're there or they're not. So going by their rarity or quality isn't meaningful.

D&D General Need Magic Longbow Ideas

The Evergreen Bow This bow was crafted in the Feywild. It can use any arrow but plain wood arrows will grow leaves and gain special powers. As a base power wooden arrows gain the power of the Shillelagh spell, doing 1d8 damage and counting as magic weapons. In addition damage to undead and...

Not even close. Okay, I've skipped 23 pages but you need to read up on the Mongols and the wars in China.

D&D General How Do You Handle Falling Damage?

This is the perfect example of a non-combat use for the Fighter's Action Surge. "I failed to catch the ledge / falling PC? I'll Action Surge and try again."

D&D 5E (2014) Apostles of Ruin: Enhanced Villains Eve of Ruin

Yes: to give full damage a weapon must have certain qualities specific to the critter, for example a flaming weapon. For a more extreme example, perhaps the weapon must have been bathed in The Pool of Virtue. Or personally blessed by Merikka. You could combine those: perhaps it has to be a...

D&D 5E (2014) Apostles of Ruin: Enhanced Villains Eve of Ruin

Well done! I noticed a couple of spelling and grammar errors. In Lolth's entry you call her Miska at least once. I do have one suggestion with regards to the Conditions: when Empowered, let all damage dice be rolled with Advantage (rather than maxxed) and when Weakened let all damage dice be...

D&D 5E (2014) Looking for Ideas for a Unique PC

One thing that screams at me is Bronze Age. You could have a lot of fun RPing gawking at all the stuff made of iron and having fancy and special bronze armour and weaponry.
