Differance between Warcraft 1st and 2nd edition.

IIRC, the "first edition" (Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game) is based on the 3.5 rule set, and work pretty much like a campaign setting in that you need the 3.5 Core books (PHB, DMG & MM) to play. The "second edition" (World of Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game) is an OGL-based game, meaning that it...

Non-North American Gamers who want to buy the 1e reprints, sound off!

I'm painfully aware of international shipping costs, bit I'm willing to pay for them, so I may take you up on your offer, if it's ok :-)

What's the most you've ever spent on a single RPG-related item?

Ptolus. I paid about $180, including shipping, for it this year. I wouldn't have dreamt of expending that kind of money on a RPG item a few years ago, but such is life. You get older, have more disposable income, and less time to enjoy what you buy with it. :D

Owning multiple copies of RPG books

Intentionally, I only have multiple copies of a few products: 3 copies of the 3.5 PHB, and 2 copies of The Nightmare Lands boxed set for Ravenloft, because the first one was a bit worn, and I found a shrinkwrapped copy for cheap. Then I have some duplicate Ravenloft accesories from buying lots...

Anyone have a HD Greyhawk Map?

This. I found prety high-definition maps that I'm not sure would be allowed to be posted directly.

    When PCs fail.

I agree with the suggestions previously posted that involve continuing with the campaign, while making it very clear the consequences of the PC's failure: grim(mer) world, death (or worse) of close and/or important NPCs, maybe, as was suggested, the death of a minor god (or if you want to be...

    Castle Ravenloft: My first game

Right, but I still can't figure out where does the female ranger sculpt come from :erm:

    Castle Ravenloft: My first game

Isn't the ranger miniature new, as well? I can't seem to find where it appeared in the previous lines, if it did. :erm:

Are you in the RPG closet?

I consider myself "discreet": I won't deny liking and playing RPGs if asked, but don't go out of my way to tell the world about it. Family and friends know that I used to play, but not always that sometimes I still do. And I literally have my RPG books stashed in a wooden chest. With a padlock...

    D&D Starter sets

There was a number of Player's Kits that were sold with a bonus DDM Aberrarions booster attached, as you say, but the Player's Kit itself didn't contain any minis.

    Will Essentials do well?

I, for one, will say that despite not being attracted to 4e, I'm very tempted to try the Essentials line. At the very least, the basic red box and rules compendium (specially since the latter will be in digest format), with maybe the monster vault, seem like a worthwhile purchase for a compact...

Games You Have But Have Never played

Mage - The Ascension. I always thought that the setting and metaplot were great, but the one time I tried to read the magic system it lost me. I must admit I felt sort of stupid :p

Where Are They Now? Everquest Cover Girl...

(Thread necromancy of the day :)) Does anyone know what became of Tony Mosley? It's such a shame that there aren't any more Zogonia strips being made... :(

Opinions on Council of Thieves AP?

Mmm... It seems that this AP somewhat failed to meet its expectations. That's too bad, the premise sounded quite interesting. I guess I should try to get the Curse of the Crimson Throne instead. It seems to be regarded in a generally positive light.

Opinions on Council of Thieves AP?

Well, pretty much what it says on the title. I've looked over the AP's description and it sounds pretty interesting. What do the people that have read/run it think of it? And, being a Pathfinder product, I would assume it wouldn't take much effort to port it over 3.5. Is that so?
