    Mad at Paizo?

I am also very unenthusiastic to rebuy all the books again for what I see as, at best, questionable benefit. I'm still a Starfinder customer and I'll keep buying the Flip Tiles line. Not going to buy 2e Pawns, though. Something about 2e's art really doesn't appeal to me.

Pathfinder 1E Your experiences with "Skull & Shackles"

I wonder why you assume a 6 volume campaign is going to be suitable for a novice GM? Surely starting with something from Pathfinder's Module line would be much more reasonable. The Dragon's Demand, for example, makes for a fantastic 64 page "My First Campaign".

    Is Pathfinder 2 Paizo's 4E?

Perhaps not. I am just suggesting that perhaps not everyone enjoyed 5e. I didn't. Maybe Paizo's designers didn't either.

    Is Pathfinder 2 Paizo's 4E?

Perhaps not everybody finds 5e to be great? If I want an easy to run option, I'd choose Shadow of the Demon Lord over 5e. Every time.

    Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2e

Really? That seems rather harsh. I've played two kineticists, at levels 5 and 9, and thoroughly enjoyed both of them.

Pathfinder 2E 'Work In Progress' NPCs from Gamemastery Guide

Indeed. And this is one of several reasons I don't feel this game is for me. Having to grind through hit points of every foe on the battle mat sounds like a real bore to me. That's what I disliked about 5e. I understand their rationale for this change, it's just not for me. I find there are...

Pathfinder 2E 'Work In Progress' NPCs from Gamemastery Guide

I'm particularly interested to see how the Witch is handled. It is my favourite class in Pathfinder but, more than that, their entire raison d'être, the save or suck spell, has been greatly weakened in the new game. Will facing a coven still be a terrifying experience, pitting your character's...

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

Like this, I guess. I could theoretically play for free. However, I want to support the company who created the game which I am enjoying. So, I buy books and use the SRD. Like every other player I know.

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

Really? Every Pathfinder player I know uses the SRD all the time. I own a lot of Pathfinder books. But it is so much more practical to just search things out on the SRD rather than plodding through a huge pile of dead tree for that specific feat or spell you want.

Pathfinder 1E Wizkids should take the Pathfinder 1.0 ruleset and publish their own RPG.

That's interesting. We have the reverse situation. Not enough GMs confident enough to GM 2e yet. Although, I am sure this will change and 2e will become the norm as GMs, and players, become more familiar.

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

I might place another order now just to check :giggle: Still, it's 3 weeks after release and took about two weeks to ship. I think suggesting that it was just a one week anomaly seems unrealistic. I fully concede it may be a release month anomaly, though. None of my group seem interested in...

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

An anecdote which may or may not be of any value: I ordered a load of PF1 products from the ongoing sale at Paizo.com on Aug. 23rd which didn't ship until Sept. 5th along with an apology from Customer Service that they were incredibly busy and regretted the delay. My orders usually ship from...

    Mad at Paizo?

Yes, the PDFs are still available. Also, the Pocket Edition soft cover rulebooks will remain in print "for as long as they keep selling." It will be interesting to see just how long that ends up being.

Isn't this thread supposed to be discussing Paizo?

D&D 5E (2014) Anyone else feeling "meh" about recent 5e releases?

Ugh. I guess that is why I'm not the target market for Dungeons & Dragons in its current iteration.

Pathfinder 2E Leshies Previewed From Lost Omens Character Guide

A lot of 2e's art has missed the mark for me. However, I do not have any issue with this art. Although I really like Golarion as a setting, I dislike the "Muppet Show" vibe of all the weird races and tend to limit them in my games to core + by request. The anthropomorphic animal races are...

D&D 5E (2014) Anyone else feeling "meh" about recent 5e releases?

Neither had I. The Ravnica book seems okay, except for those preposterous elephant men. The Acquisitions Inc. I'm a bit more suspicious of. The real clunkers, though, are the Stranger Things and, especially, the Rick and Morty box sets. They just seem like obviously avaricious cash ins which...

Pathfinder 2E The Golarion Role Playing Game

I thought the 1e setting would have been the Inner Sea? I never saw Golarion mentioned in the title of a supplement CF the main campaign setting books, Inner Sea World Guide and Inner Sea Gods. I assumed they did this to more explicitly open up other areas in their campaign setting, which seems...

D&D 5E (2014) Anyone else feeling "meh" about recent 5e releases?

Really? I always thought the general consensus was Paizo writes more interesting adventures than Wizards? Comparing Curse of Strahd, the only 5e campaign I've played in, but generally thought of as one of the best, with Rise of the Runelords, also thought of as one of the stronger APs, I find...
