Was it in fact Mordenkainen's helmet? The only reference to Big M that I recall was the spell guarding the treasury. Or is the assumption that "Helmet of Disjunction" means "Mordenkainen's Disjunction"?

The Star Wars people have won back a lot of my goodwill with The Mandalorian and especially Andor. I'll hope they've learned from some of the mistakes they made with the sequel trilogy, and give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I agree with @James Gasik that it's probably only fun to destroy a character's items if it doesn't impact their gameplay too much. You could rule that one or more items have been destroyed, but not the magical effects. The barbarian now permanently has ogre hands. The cleric has a permanent +1...

If I recall correctly, in 1E and 2E elves couldn't be rangers or druids. That always struck me as very strange.
