    Adventuring party names

In the game I am currently DMing the party don't have a name as yet, but they are unofficially known as Doom Patrol, because of a disguise they once adopted; which was thought up by the PC harpy with an INT of 4... In my 4th ed. Scales of War game, they haven't come with a name yet either, but...

INVASION: and what do the PCs do?

That's great, thanks. I was thinking maybe 2-500 maximum, and they'd make deals with some of the populace: the dwarves, for example, are collaborating so long as they are left to their own devices... the hobgoblins will also get access to the dwarven firearms, which makes an impact. I like...

INVASION: and what do the PCs do?

The hobgoblins have their own Empire, a theocracy to be exact. It borders the human-centric Empire over the sea; they had a small presence in the frontier town, a fort of 200-odd soldiers who were exploring ruins. Good question: mostly because they need the townsfolk as slaves; plus they can...

INVASION: and what do the PCs do?

Thanks for the replies & comments so far. A bit more info then, as requested: The idea is that the hobgoblins have already taken over the town, but have only held it for a few days. There have been rumblings that something was going to happen in the earlier adventurers. They have disposed of...

INVASION: and what do the PCs do?

Afternoon all My next D&D game (3.5 edition): the PCs are on their way back to their hometown, only to discover that it has been invaded in their absence, by hobgoblins. I have a few ideas of specific encounters, but was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to run/prepare for a town-based...

Dark Fantasy D&D webcomic, with a twist.

I do like the new site. Very clean and pretty :) Enjoying the story still.

    I really want to play...

I have a couple of ideas for wizards: One is an ex-soldier, an old man, retired and who took up wizardry as a hobby, discovering that he was actually good at it. He would also be a pacifist, having seen and shed too much blood and dealt too much death when he was a soldier back in whatever war...

    Bacon of Hope

Now I want to find food-related powers! And I really fancy a bacon-buttie! :) Thanks for putting a smile on my face  Oh, and is it me and my players, or are clerics really powerful when it comes to healing their comrades? Our cleric does 2d6+5 on all his healing at the moment... seems to...

Dark Fantasy D&D webcomic, with a twist.

Just read it all up to the latest, and I liked it. Nice artwork, very stylish, story's good too. I'll be keeping up with it as you go along. What do you use to create the art?

Penny Arcade [Gabe] does the sandbox thing...

I'm constantly impressed by gabe's games and the amount of effort in puts into it; makes me want to raise the bar so much more in my own game... and I love the idea of usinf tokens as part of the sandbox travel experience :)

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

I might have to use one of those in my own game. The players will love me for it :)

Maybe that was Flicker's inner thoughts about how much it was worth :p

Question: Druid Multiclass & Wild Shape

Thanks :) That's pretty much how I saw it too; mostly it is going to be for rping, but with the option to switch powers later... the player just likes the idea of a transformer type character :)

Question: Druid Multiclass & Wild Shape

Morning all, quick question: I have a player who is playing a warforged and is looking to multiclass into a druid, thus gaining the wild shape ability (effectively making him a 'transformer'): in his beast form, can he make basic attacks? Looking at the rules I think not, but can't be 100%...

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

I think part 300 deserves a round of applause, or fireworks, or something equally celebrationary. Love the rune-face monsters, pretty gruesome, yet cool. What effects did the blood spurts have?

D&D 4E Running player commentary on PCat's 4E Campaign - Heroic tier (finished)

I have to say, when it comes to 4th ed. DDI helps a lot. I use it in the same way, and it invaluable as a reference (using the compendium) to look up rules quickly whilst playing. Interesting view on one-shots. I've played a couple and you're right, there's a lot to take in, especially if you...

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

That's one of the things that I still find hard to pull off, getting the bad guys' voices right. Any tricks you or Sagiro care to share?

    Storn's art for swipin'!

I love your artwork. Things like this have inspired to learn to draw, with the idea that one day I can draw, paint, sketch something like these... although I doubt I'll ever be that good!
