    Gnolls, gnolls, glorious gnolls

These are all excellent ideas. I've been thinking to make them a but like vikings, but that needs a bit more work.

This is from the on-line srd: (link). So, yes, it's possible.

    Gnolls, gnolls, glorious gnolls

Thanks for those, I'll check them out. I've always liked gnolls, more so than orcs or goblins, although not quite sure why. Kobolds are a close second, especially with added classes to give them that extra kick. It'll be interesting to see how the 4th Ed versions play out.

    Gnolls, gnolls, glorious gnolls

I am planning on building a campaign wherein the main baddies are gnolls. What background, history, etc do we have on gnolls from all the various editions, books and manuals? Anyone are to chip in? I'm at work at the moment and my books are all at home, and my mind is working overtime on ideas...

    How long after June 6?

I'll probably run a game as soon as I've read the books and crafted an adventre. Already started working on my new campaign world, working on the local town and its surroundings, so I have plenty of background fluff, locations and the like ready to go with.

    New Dungeon Article

I've already starting using the Shadar-Kai in their 4th Ed incarnation in my current 3.5 game; making human with a few abilities (chiefly hide in plain sight). This article- aside from the grammar- was quite good, certainly gives me a few ideas.

    Fill my bag of holding!

12 clockwork chickens (miniature sized) 11 china rhinos (statuettes) 10 music sheets (when played, it's an awful cacophony) 9 bright baubles 8 silver forks 7 turquoise beetles (dead, stuff, mounted) 6 bags of mushrooms (edible) 5 gold rings! 4 chocolate hob nobs 3 pig's trotters 2 ankle braclets...

Which monsters are the most effective / fun in game?

I've always loved bulettes, and I like the look of the 4th Edition version. I would love to run an encounter, maybe a side trek, akin to the film Tremors, with the land sharks are the principle monster. Trolls were a favourite inprior editions of the game, but not used them in 3.x. Manticores...

RPG stats for all Dungeons of Dread minis

Some interesting bits regarding Resistance; such as the Vrock's variable resistance (2/encounter), and the Grick's Resist Damage Threshold (wonder what that actually means?) And don't they have a lot of hit points. I can see combat encounters going on for more than a couple of rounds; when I...

    4th Edition Gods

Can someone remind me what gods have been mentioned for 4th Ed?

    Greyhawk maps?

If you just want some regional maps, you could check these out. Designed my a Swedish woman called Anna (I think I got that right), and they're very good. The PDFs have layers too, so you can turn off names, roads and so on. Only a few of the regions have been done so far, but certainly worth...

Keeping interest in DMing a game

Not sure if this helps, but have you considered an alternative to PBP. I've been playing on-line using Skype, just using text-based chat, and it worked quite well. Maybe, instead of DMing, what you really want to do is write a story? Maybe you could combine the two, and write up a story based...

Looking For Games Shops In UK & Ireland

Oops, doubled that post. There's a gaming shope (mostly board games and the like) near the British Museum too, which use to have rpg stuff. Can't recall its name and haven't been there in years, so not much use really. :D

Looking For Games Shops In UK & Ireland

I use to shop at GW in Liverpool for my D&D and assorted RPG stuff back in the old days (when White Dwarf run D&D articles, some of which were great). Times change, eh? Waterstone's sometimes have RPG sections too. The one in London just off Picadilly Circus has an ok selection.

Looking for an unmarked map of the Flanaess

Hmm, strange. It was working before. Right, edited it and it works now.

Don't forget the Forbidden Planet shop in London on Shaftsbury Avenue, it has a large rpg section.

Looking for an unmarked map of the Flanaess

Here's the link to the maps she's done. They're very good. Link. I've checked out one of the PDFs and you can switch off most of the stuff (even the roads and rivers, even the actual terrain if you wished). There are only a few regional maps at the moment, but certainly some of the best work...

Looking for an unmarked map of the Flanaess

There's a site called the Cartographers Guild, where someone makes maps for Greyhawk. Her PDFs have layers that can switch on and off various bits. I'll try to find the link to them and post it.

    Memorable Characters

That reminds me of the games me & my friends use to play with FASA's Star Trek. Many fun memories. Which then reminded me of other games, and while I can't recall much about the characters, I do remember the names of a couple from the old Judge Dredd rpg. I had a Judge called Bubonic Plague...
