I do get angry when a book goes on for pages and pages without advancing the story, like a soap opera. A good story told on 200 pages is not better if told on 1200 pages.

How can you tell with a myconoid? Oh, I get it, they've got boobs! :confused: But, what would a being that isn't even an animal (nor a plant) have boobs for? To lure PCs*? * Seems unlikely that it'd work, even for PCs lost for months in the underdark.

Nice podcast. Good to hear a little about the new minion and solo construction rules - I hope we'll see them in DMG2. And more myconoids! I never liked them before, but the new incarnation is nice, and the picture in the MM2 (and on the podcast page) is inspiring.

I find it unlikely, really. It's one thing to collect all three core books, and another to collect three expansions, which, whatever Wizards says, are not 'core' in the same sense as the core books.

Linked scenarios, isn't Goodman doing that sort of thing? The Punjar series looks like that, for instance.

Indeed Eberron - a world of mutated batweird monsters. I seem to recall complaints that the 4e Realms were eberronized by the inclusion of spellscarred monstrosities :hmm:

The price increase should tno be a surprise to anyone. They've said time and again that the old price was an introductory, lower price unitl they got more things running. They'v got more things running since then - and will probably get more stuff running soon (I hope).

After a quick look through the .zip file it seems to me that there are more pictures there. (Or is just my perception skill too low?)

Lots of great pictures there, much better than MM1! Even the Myconids look cool, while still funny! I still dislike the new troglodyte look, but this picture is a lot better. (Not as cool as the 3e trogs, though. They would be more fun as something less bruteish, as weii - too many of those...
