If it's a template like Half-Dragon or Half-Fiend then leadership is based on character level
So a 6th lvl Half-Dragon Paladin is 6th level for the purposes of Leadership
However a 6th lvl Bugbear Fighter would add the Monster HD as levels to the class levels to determine character level. Thus...
It's pretty potent especially if you use encumbrance by weight. It's probably a bit overpowered for a 1st level spell (a fixed amount would likely be a better solution) but it's never been so problematic as to require a nerfing IMC.
Deadly Dancer from Tome of Magic Deadly Dancer Picture
It has a very clean design while being suitable alien and strange which goes a long way to being very memorable.
If this is Greyhawk then Lirr (CG goddess of art), Wee Jas (LN Goddess of Magic), Ye'Cind (CG God of Music), and Zagyg (CN God of Magic and Zaniness). Personally I'd go with the mad archmage Zagyg as he's a throwback to an earlier era.
The FAQ indicates no. Normal animals with HD advancement reflect stronger bigger examples of the breed in general. Animal companions are advancing HD based on experience (albiet of the druid master) and as such don't gain in size.
That being said I think if it makes sense in your game for a...
I think if you focus primarily on restating the fiends and you can fit in various other fiends into a FCIII fairly easily. Other than a small number of unique daemons there has never been so much material so as to justify many unique yugoloth write-ups.
If they have really needed space they can...
While I agree that post-purchase customer support is a critical aspect to fostering a good client relationship I'm not sure that Wizards feels that spending a large amount of time on FAQ and errata is as valuable as generating new gaming material. But it would be wonderful if one or more of the...
Heh it's worse than that, the spell being used is the 2nd level alter self
I guess it merely add ammo for those people that want the polymorph subschool severely modified.
A panel of 3 or more line developers in charge of that line would be optimal but I can certainly understand why one developer might be given it as a collateral duty as the FAQ hardly makes money for wizards.
EL 15 is definitely at the maximum end for 4 11th level PCs. Anything above that raises the spectre of a TPK even with full resources available.
17th level cleric almost certainly gives the cleric the ability to cast Gate to call an advanced Balor or similar monstrosity with his 9th level spell...
Interesting if convoluted build ( I assume one of the feats allows you add int as a bonus to AC?) however I think we can agree that it's great a AC for 1 hr a day but you've taken a massive hit to damage potential on this type of build. Other than 2 3rd level spells and 5 1st level spells almost...
From a game balance perspective the published totals are likely fine but in practice they make it largely impossible for siege weaponry and giant boulders to do significant damage to structures. I figure it's a compromise to prevent siege weaponry from being insta-kill weapons.
The only thing I'm slightly curious about is what book allowed a 5HD monster to have a +20 Natural Armor bonus as that seems to clearly violate accepted standards for natural AC bonus to HD.
I'm not saying there isn't one but that if there is one it pretty clearly slipped by the developers ;)
