I think people are overly concerned about the idea that GM has some level of authority over the game and rather than go on about the superiority of their one true game that achieves their particular level of Nirvana, they’d be much happier playing a board game.

I’m sure that makes logical sense in your head but when people say they like something, it’s quite a take to say “Nah, you don’t actually like that because I don’t like it so how could you possibly like it?”

Having come off of two back to back long campaigns each running almost 2 years, I’m totally cool with a short campaign. Right now we’re playing Gradient Descent with Mothership, and it plays more like a shorter campaign. It seems perfect for the system - I can’t imagine a year long Mothership...

I kind of wish every now and then we'd get a "Hey guys, I really don't have anything more to say about this, and I don't want to just start dumping crap out here, so don't expect much else from the channel" but reality is they're making money off of it, and that's a tough ask to simply stop.

Pet peeve: Once you create a thread, unless someone is actively threadcrapping, you can't really control the direction people choose to take the conversation and chastising people into following the narrow boundaries that you personally find acceptable for the topic is some BS.
