Star Frontiers. I wanted to do a psy-hunter campaign. The PCs were all psy-hunters. During the first adventure I tell two of the PCs they slowly discover they are psychics... that didn't go well. We played a board game for the rest of the session. That was the end of it. Don't do bait & switch. 🙃

Furniture and book shelves for my gaming room. Probably between 501$ to 1000$. Closer to 1000$. I won't pay more than 30$ for a D&D miniature or an accessory. I did buy 40K models at 80$-100$ but I'm cured of that disease. Likewise I would never buy vintage TSR stuff on eBay, for a fortune.

He is certainly not without imagination. I liked the one-handed rogue with the silent troll. I bought the omnibus of the first three books. I'm currently reading Elfstones of Shannara.

I'm tired of playing around with the D&D 5e toolbox or Fantasy AGE, which also invites a lot of "make your own modifications" to the system to fit your need. It's not only...

Note that my AD&D group was doing epic arc story campaigns with 1e, before 2e came out. We read LOTR and wanted to replicate that. I suspect many other groups where doing that also. We never did hex crawl or murder hobo style. The Dragon Lance novels only reinforced what we were already doing...
