Film remakes and reboots and adaptations

Twelvth Night had a great adaptation. Best reboot/remake I'm aware of was DOA (the 80s version of the 50s movie, nothing to do with the video-game movie). For the most part, remakes have been pathetic failures, as have reboots.

    Ultra Modern Character Builder?

Yeah, but I have to find out how to do even that.

    Ultra Modern Character Builder?

No one? Ever? You mean I'm going to have to learn how to do this on my own?

    D&D 4E The Best Thing from 4E

You want a wizard with a sword in 4E? No problem. "I'm a staff wizard. To all intents and purposes, I'm a staff wizard. It just looks like I'm holding a sword." Done. Just a matter of refluffing. And sure, buy the guy a sword to hold. Let him use it in an off-hand if he spends the correct feats...

    D&D 4E Who's still playing 4E

I should clarify: by over 200 combinations, I mean race x class x builds. We've only covered about 30 possibilities in our group. For some reason, everyone wants to play Strikers... too much char-op emphasis?

    Ultra Modern Character Builder?

Did anyone ever build a character builder for the Ultramodern game (based on 4E)? Ideally, I'd love to find something that adds into the main 4e offline character builder.

    D&D 4E Who's still playing 4E

My group has unanimously decided to stick to 4e, and ignore 5e. We've been playing 4e since two months after it first came out, and have only finished 2 campaigns from lvl1-30. One campaign got stopped at lvl12, and another at lvl5. We have a campaign on hold at lvl24 and another at lvl11 which...

    Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund

Terribly sorry: I was confusing the numbers of UNICEF with those from American Red Cross. The Snopes article link you provided has the correct and accurate figures. Look at them and and decide for yourself.

    D&D 4E The Best Thing from 4E

I also like all the old utility spells being turned into rituals, which anyone can use by taking the ritual caster feat.

    Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund

Do NOT use UNICEF! The most vile non-charity, and the most egregious offender of the concept of "non-profit". Look at the snopes reports. Any organization where the president gets a salary in excess of $600K (plus perks and benefits) is NOT a charity. When less than 3% of the money you receive...

    NetFlix's DareDevil - Your thoughts?

Hells Kitchen is about a dozen or so small blocks on Manhattan Island. In real life, the tour buses are saying that the area is being gentrified into the top dining establishments. Doesn't work as much of a background for a super-hero comic, though. It isn't uncommon for people to have not left...

    NetFlix's DareDevil - Your thoughts?

Finished watching DD, and (this may come as a shock to some) enjoyed it. Some eps are a little slow, but it is about someone working out the kinks in a plan to actually do something. Arrow was great because he started with a plan from the get-go. The flashbacks told an origin quickly enough...

    D&D 4E The Best Thing from 4E

Heh, in my group, we've had 3-4 DMs, and we rotate whenever one needs a break. Lessens burn-out and means everyone gets to play most of the time.

    D&D 4E The Best Thing from 4E

It is willful blindness. After all, 574 combination options isn't enough to start a game with. That should be obvious to anyone. And char-oppers are always right. About everything. Didn't you know that? They said so--what do you mean you want more than that?

    Vampire question

Sadly, the version I have has some glitches: All themes are under a tab "Darksun Themes" rather than being Themes by source, all equipment from sources after the builder stopped receiving official support is shoved into generic "Adventuring Gear" rather than being subdivided into useful...

    D&D 4E The Best Thing from 4E

I loved the off-line character builder. I loved the off-line monster builder. I loved the people bitching about how 4E didn't have enough variety, even though just the PH1 had over 136 lvl1 combinations, not counting alignment, deity, choice of weapons, choice of daily powers(usually 2 designed...

    Vampire question

Yes, building it as a race would have been way better. The class isn't bad, if you want the classic flavor, but have it be the race, with the option of the class, or another class, and a rider to the "used to be ____", and the feat that allows partial access to the previous race's feats or race...

    D&D 4E The Best Thing from 4E

There was a lot to like about 4E. There was a lot to bitch about. Thing is, for all the complaints, it was still a brilliant and innovative improvement from 3E/3.5. I play with a group that games every Sunday (unless 2 or more can't make it or a holiday or such-like). In the time since 4E came...

    Vampire question

There are exactly 2 power choices you get to make: lvl 2 utility, and lvl 22 utility. But yes, you get to choose race, backgrounds, themes, paragon paths, epic destinies, and the order in which you take feats. For fun, I built a lvl30, and ended up with a lot of feats that were more "boost your...

who owns what and how it all fits together

But Blade is a comic-book super-human character, and usually a hero. He doesn't have the 4-color costume of classic golden-age or what-not, but he is pretty much a super hero. He even had his own TV show, which mentioned (in passing) a number of other Marvel Characters, including Moon Knight...
