(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Split the party! What can go wrong? 🙂 More seriously, having a couple of stealthy ones maybe hit the two holy/silver spots could work. The louder ones can then hit the emporium and then meet them on the opposite side of the square. Deirdre still has two uses of turn undead - can use one of them...

Phase 5 of the MCU is over

I enjoyed Guardians, Agatha, and Thunderbolts the best. There were some real stinkers in this batch too.

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

TEAM LAKE - Bjorn Seeing Loklafd had regain consciences, Bjorn focused his efforts on turning their boat towards the side channel. Meanwhile, Bill regained his footing and mentally warned Bjorn of a swift current just ahead. Bjorn jammed his paddle deep into the water to act as a rudder and...

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Yeah, between it being a extended holiday weekend here in the States and wrong assumptions (I read it the same way Fitz did), it was perhaps just bad timing. Anyways, I like the basic thought/approach - been fun.

    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Before leaving the Inn, Deirdre whispered a silent prayer and then conferred with the innkeeper. "Any guidance on the most discrete, yet direct route to the market would be appreciated, innkeeper." Deirdre cast guidance and then tries to persuade the innkeeper on what the best approach to the...

Judge decides case based on AI-hallucinated case law

Totally agree. Unfortunately though if customers/clients see a product or service that costs substantially less than yours because they incorporated AI into their workflow, you see the pressure many firms are under to figure this out. Also, if you rely on outside investors or shareholders for...

Judge decides case based on AI-hallucinated case law

It’s not just law that’s hallucinating. It’s medical staff, scientists, engineers- you know, those topics that takes years of study and seconds to sabotage with one prompt. My whole company is at a crossroads on this stuff. Quality control on AI output has become the new demand. Only problem is...

@TaranTheWanderer is there any food that is already prepped we can bring out when we leave the kitchen?

Agree on market. Holy water and a potion of healing or two would be helpful.

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

TEAM LAKE - Bjorn Bjorn saw Loklafd up ahead, his body pinned on some rocks. He paddled hard through the swift current, trying to get the kayak within reach of him, using Bill's senses to guid him. It wasn't enough. He struggled to control the craft. In desperation he reached out to the...

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

Bjorn saw the overturned kayak ahead and frowned. Not good. He plunged his paddle deep into the water and tried to steer their way towards it, and out of the swift current. "Hold on!" he shouted over the roar of the river, not knowing if he was addressing his companions or Loklafd. Bjorn...

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

OK, I'm now thinking the acrobatic/athletics checks to move doesn't help with resolving the swift currents. I assume we need to "attack" it with our paddles instead? Sorry for the confusion Fitz - fun encounter, just trying to get the mechanics right.

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

Got it. I assume we can use our action to Dash through the next Hazard in front of us? Can post that later today. EDIT: I thought the Dash that Vlad just did already resolved the first Hazard #4 already. Also, is the body of Loklafd next to the overturned kayak? Approximately which grid space...

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

TEAM LAKE - Bjorn Bjorn saw the other kayak rapidly approaching just as Bill pointed with his nose to a small whirlpool he could use to their advantage. He quickly flipped his paddle to the opposite side of the oncoming boat and plunged it into the whirlpool, jerking the boat sharply away from...

    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Deirdre strode forward quickly and (for her) relatively quietly. She then thrust her blessed blade deep into the large zombie. Dierdre somehow made her stealth roll with disadvantage (armor); attacked with advantage. Stealth check: 2D20.LOW(1) = [17, 11] = 11 Attack with guiding strike...

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Love the scene of the zombie cooks. Nice and weird. For surprise, it now just gives you advantage on your initiative roll. Since that’s really not a thing in PbP, maybe just give advantage to attack for those that make their stealth roll? I know it’s highly unlikely that Deirdre will!

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

@TaranTheWanderer how visible is the kitchen door to the common room? Is it around the corner or in plain site? @Steve Gorak we might not want to conjure an illusionary fog cloud if everyone in the common room can see it - might panic them. Maybe wait until we are all inside to do it?
