    Stupid Wildshape Trick

I don't see how this change couldn't also potentially harm the druid. I mean, if this elephant gets so big that it's cracking ribs and bones (which then puncture said elephant in the process) it could reasonably sustain some damage. You will have to figure out how much. I guess the druid would...

    Tell me about New Mexico

Rio Rancho is just north of Albuquerque (I hate typing that city name!) According to mapquest, distance apart is 171 miles = 4 hours, 8 minutes. Of course, I could do that drive under 3 hours easily. But for gaming? Mmmmmmm...doubtful. There appears to be a lovely city named "La Jara" that is...

Hey ZSutherland, I just emailed you. I live in Dallas proper and would like to hear more about your campaign.

    Local Games Stores Are Dead!

I would have to say, "Open up a FLGS!" simply because I very much like them and I don't see them going out of style (or business) anytime soon. On the flip side, I wouldn't expect any huge profit from opening and running a FLGS either. You will definitely need to label yourself as a "board...

    Dragonlance Campaign Setting Art Gallery

Mostly miss. I think I drew something very much like the Bozak Draconion....when I was in 6th grade. And I am definitely not an artist.

    Dragon #311 Summary

Thanks for the details, Keth. Though I must admit I'm disappointed in the lack of cleric coverage. Pooh.

Which popular TV sitcom family does your group most resemble?

You will probably take offense to this, but what the hell... How OLD are you?!!

    Dragon 311 has arrived!

Yes, but is the cover & artwork inside as good as 310?

Chicken Little and the Half-Orc base jumper

Dude. I assume you are playing your game in what would best be called "medieval times"....there is no such thing as a Sky Diving skill. Were I your DM I would have you roll a d20. You would fail on anything but a natural 20. A 5% chance of hitting Chicken Little is WAY better than your chances...

    Dragon 311 has arrived!

Yippee. I want it. I rarely ever play the fighter classes but I bought Dragon 310 just because it seemed so useful. I'm looking forward to it.

    Tell me about New Mexico

Well, I don't live in NM or anything, but I've been through several times and actually went on a hiking trip at Philmont Scout Ranch when I was in Boy Scouts (over 10 years ago - yikes!!). It was near Cimarron and I have to say I loved the area....I would think compared to Detroit you will be...

Which popular TV sitcom family does your group most resemble?

Chopping up an NPC and serving him to another PC? That sounds definitely more like an OZ episode than a Sopranos...and your group is WEIRD! I want to hear from the person that picked "The Brady Bunch".

You could play with stuffed animals. Or go to dndmeetup.com. There appear to be 12 people waiting to play. Here's the link: (http://dnd.meetup.com/members/95)

[Math] Developing methods for determining the balance and reliability of dice.

Just ask your DM if he thinks the die is loaded. If your DM says, "No.", ask if you can trade d20s and d6s. I mean, if they aren't loaded, trading them won't hurt anyone, right? If your DM does not agree to this, protest. If your DM says "Yes." and then laughs evilly I would run.

Which popular TV sitcom family does your group most resemble?

I'm just wondering how everyone out there generally "gets along" within their groups. Here are further explanations of the poll selections above: 1)The Brady Bunch: OMG, we totally get along! Everyone is happy, like, 110% of the time. We always split treasure evenly and often pitch in to help...

The Organized Architecture and Layout of Dungeons, or lack thereof.

Harlok - Can you give a few more details about this article (or post a link to it)? I'm not familiar with Dungeoncraft. ForceUser - Glad to hear as a DM you agree. I guess the DM in my group basically takes maps out of various resources and they don't seem to have any organization to them...

The Organized Architecture and Layout of Dungeons, or lack thereof.

Ok. I've viewed various maps of dungeons, etc. online and find myself wondering, "Who would build a dungeon like this?" To be specific, I'm talking about the evil temples, monasteries, libraries and even places like catacombs - I mean, there is NO sense of organization in the winding passageways...

Wouldn't it be nice if cantrips could be cast spontaneously?

Abusable combos w/cantrips? Huh? I don't agree that wizards/clerics should have unlimited cantrips...or even more than their alotted slots. I just want the slots they have to be open for utility purposes. I'm just saying that if a wizard enters a dark room and has a cantrip slot available...
