    Who's the god of dogs?

My personal experience of a few dogs and a lot more cats. Cats just aren't as hypnotized by the Plate. Instead of looking slavishly at the Plate and imagining wonderful, wonderful FOOD! on it, they'll jump on some piece of furniture overlooking the table to see what's inside. Then, they'll...

    Who's the god of dogs?

In my personal experience, dogs worship their master's plate. You know, that mysterious and wondrous thing containing FOOD! that the master sometimes allow the dog to lick before tossing it in the dishwasher? Yes, that thing. That thing which has FOOD! is what dogs worship. Whenever a plate is...

    OotS 525

I don't even know what a builder strip is supposed to be. Or rather, why they're meh. In my opinion, a strip that doesn't build anything is what is a lame strip. Like a Garfield strip -- the very definition of a nonbuilder strip -- it builds so much not that the humor, without a home, a...

Do You Keep Any "Guiness Book of Records" Records In Your Game?

In an Ars Magica game I play in, the GM keeps track of all skill rolls where we get 18+ on the die. (You know how the Ars Mag die works: if, in a stress roll, you get a 1, you reroll and double the result. Every time you roll another 1 on your reroll, then you double again and reroll again...

EGG on 'The Spirit of AD&D'

But it needs a level of witty banter and sophistication that isn't necessarily to be found in most gaming groups. Cugel vs. Krusk will result in a short-lived entertainment.

"Unthread necromancy"? Look at the date a bit better, the thread is barely two-day old and was only one-day old at the time of your post...

    Prettiest fantasy maps

Well, the actual in-game map will look a lot more hand-drawn, so as to be more in the style of the map from the game.

    Prettiest fantasy maps

I like this one (large image). It's fan-made and for a CRPG mod project, but it's really great.

    What is CoDZilla?

Err, not really. Wizards have better travel and damage-dealing spells; but they don't have healing spells, cast less spells per day, know only the spells in their spellbooks, and have no additional magical capacities. Clerics and Druids are much better spellcasters.

    OotS #517 Is Up

No, Belkar is elsewhere. The bald guy is Isamu (unless he's Niu, but since Haley's order is directed at Niu and it's the girl who answers, I think she's the one who is Niu and therefore Isamu is the bald guy).

The Proper Use of Nudity in FRPG Art

So boobies have to be covered, but genitalia can be exposed? Janet Jackson's nipplegate truly has ravaged the moral landscape. What does the equal and fair treatment of women has to do with Frazetta? It's fantasy. Fantasy is built on disturbing prejudice. Fantasy breathes, eats, and drinks...

The Proper Use of Nudity in FRPG Art

If magical healing removes all cosmetic sequels of the wounds, yes. But it probably doesn't heal the pungent smell after the adventurers swam in the sewers and fought zombified otyughs. If they're too loose they get diseases as well. Should be more wary of these easy tavern wenches.
