Hi, Is there a rules-light fantasy RPG that gives the players a lot of possibilities for character customization? This is always my player´s biggest complaint when I suggest playing a rules-light game (e.g. a retro-clone like Swords and Wizardry).

What would you do with a Pathfinder group in which every character has Charisma 7, telling me that with 15 point point buy you have to dump the stat (and arguing that we´re not instead playing with point buy 20)?

One thing I forgot mentioning is that for this discussion I am much more interested in your ideas about how this could be achieved, than in rational insights as to why it is not possible. Frankly I´m a little annoyed by the "it´s so cheap it´s almost no deal" argument. This may be true to US citizens. Here in Europe the cheapest I could find is the Dice Shop in UK. Getting the d3+d5+d14+d16+d24 set there and shipping them to my country would cost me more than 20 Euro (28 US dollar).

I found DA2 to be a horribly boring hackfest with over-the-top and offending sexualization of its female characters, especially Isabela. I quit after playing for about 12 hours and sold the game back to the shop.

Too bad, I´d really like to check it out. Does it have all the classes in the AD&D2 PHB?
