The books I would buy right now are Scarred Land books but, settings put aside, I bought the Book of Vile Darkness and the Epic Level Handbook this month.

We usually play from 3PM to midnight. So I'll have to wait until he can stay focused on the game long enough.
Just a question:
Do they have to use it because every fight leaves them borderline dead and without spells?
In this case, you can't really blame them. Your dungeon might need some adjustments, not the spell. ;)
On the other hand if they use it only to enter every fight at maximum power, well...
