    D&D 4E Why 4E?

I think it was nothing realy official more a developer who talked a bit to much, but hey, by 2010 the market will be saturated with 3.5 products and it will be time to develop something new (or develop a new strategy).

    D&D 4E Why 4E?

But I seem to remember, that there was talk about 4th edition coming from WoTC (or someone involved with 3rd edition), that it was sceduled for 2010 or so (although this was before 3.5 - ah yes, I remember, it was the astonishment of some involved with 3.0 that there already was a new edition)

Israeli army frowns on D&D (merged)

I wonder how the average other person evaluates with the psychologists They only stated, that half of the rpglers evaluated where not good enough. But how many other people are evaluated? And when? And why? But still, the point, that most modern role-players have stopped to look at things in...

Is Dragon Magazine even *Relevant* anymore?

Funny thing is, that I felt the same as Seel_Wind, but would not have articulated it this way. When i began rping, Dragon was the montly event (because it was hard to get where I lived and had so much stuff in it). But now, here are so many other resources, that the only thing left are the...

    Firefly: Settle a Dispute

Intentionally, although there will stay this thought, that this was a stupid thing to do: Airplanes have to be repaired when a bird gets sucked into their engines. What about spacecrafts and men? But still: it is defining and makes Mal the character that places him on place two of my space...

    Developing Languages

I did, more or less, creating new words when I needed them. In the end, I had a more or less complete grammar but only about 500 words. And to what end? No one realy took an interest and even I can not read what I wrote five years ago. Though, it was fun somehow.

    Worn out scenes

Actually, there is a nother dog, that dies: Hootch in Scot and Hootch, but there is still a happy end, sniff (which is anoying). My peeves: - Clever Riddles, that can only be solved if you know the answer (this movie about the Templar Treasure. Wish, I could do a suspensefull adventure like...

    "Pokemount" abuses?

My main-problem with this ability is, that it is realy hard for to imprison a Paladin. At least when the GM does not think enough. And in my opinion, most communities will maybe think about imprisoning a wizard by binding his and and putting something into his mouth, but not disabling the...

    Terry Pratchett

If I read only one book a year, it is my pratchett I get at x-mess-eve (if all goes well I have read it the second time by new year). Alas, I have to read two books a year (the second pratchett). The reason, why there are so few pratchett threads here? There are so many Pratchett-boards out...

    Best fight scene?

Wow, there are realy a lot good ones mentioned already There are a few, I do not remember the names from: - One is a fight in a burning bell-tower, where the hero and the villain swing along the bell-ropes to fight it out. - some realy great ones in the Three Musketeers with Richard Chamberlain...

    Poems that make you shiver

"Poem for an adopted Child" does it to me. I am not adopted, but still. (Not sure, if I remember it right): Not blood of my blood, nor bone of my bone, but still, miracoulusly, my own Never forget, not for a minute you did not grow under my heart but in it.

Grr. Return of the King makes me angry.

Some comments: - Tolkien was a great fan of Beowulf (I think he did a translation or retelling of it) - Gimli (the joke) and Eomer (becoming some byproduct) clearly got the chaft (How I miss scenes like: "And when all Armies of Mordor lie between us...", sniff, goes right to my heart) - I hate...

    Should bows be Exotic Weapons?

Hmh, about the common bow: The Longbow, the bow, that is as tall as a man, was widely used only in England and Wales and there only because it was a sports-item that the nobility required the peasents to train with (to get access to trained archers - what a great scheme, actually. giving them...

And than there are - Call of Duty (I am not sure here) (pdf) - Book of Hallowed Might (one variant) - Forgotten Heroes: Paladin (I think somewhere around 10 variants)(pdf) - Quintessential Paladin II (Multiclassing ideas) - Take a look at Character Customization (pdf). should be easy to create one.

    "Gaming Divorce"

booting, for sure. Had to do it once and the whole group suffered from this player. He was invited for a short part of the adventure and did his stuff well. He is a person who is rather hard to get by with (heck, I hated him for years and only recently got by better with him. He is the kind of...
