    Die Vecna Die!

It strechs over three diferent tsr campaign settings (greyhawk, ravenloft, and planescape), and angered fans of at least two of them by breaking the cannon for those settings. Not only that but when it was written the designers for those settings were not consulted. Its sparked many message...

Adding Flavor to 3e- Your Methods, Solutions, Philosophies

I add flavor by a non standard campaign setting, and a good deal of homebrew monsters. My campaign setting is a vast archipelago and I have a good deal of custom monsters and a custom class. This campaign hasn't started yet so I'm waiting to see how well it works.

Help me enworld, I need sewer encounters!

Ideas that may or may not have already been posted A group of thieves might use the sewers for an escape route. The party could run into them injured as they tried to escape or into a hired thug that was to keep the escape route clear. A outcast ranger that lives in the sewers and tames dire...

Have you ever killed a player by mistake?

Now in the game I've been running theres been no deaths, and that includes both players, and player characters. But in a game I play in I was pretty sure that the one player character death in the game wasn't intended. The party was attacked at night by some brown bears, and the 4th level...

What is 3.0 & 3.5 missing that previous editions had?

What is 3.X missing. Two things: Planescape (which is the best published campaign setting ever) and detailed monster descriptions (by this I mean the parts that are not the statistics.)

For Players: How do you feel about House Rules?

As a player I've never experienced many house rules but the ones I did were terrible. For a while my DM would do a some things to hinder my rouges chances at sneak attacks, enemies would take 5 foot steps out of turn to avoid being flanked, and I could only get one sneak attack a round no matter...

[Not a Troll] An Honest Question (really) About Game Balance

First of all I haven't read all 3 pages of the thread so if the discussions changed please excuse me. My opinion is that balance is needed for a good game. But there needs to be the right amount, not to little and not to much. It the game is too balanced then it means that every class is about...

    Casting while Feather Falling

I would allow casting while feather falling if the caster succeeds at a concentration check dc: 10 + spell level (so its not trivial, but its not impossible.)

Magic Item that works like a spying device

For DMs only: how much you delight in House Rules?

Only one real house rule but its a big one. A whole complete 20 level class the swashbuckler. Still needs a little polishing sometime. I made it up myself because I didn't like any of the versions I had seen.
