That's incorrect. I dunno about 4e, but in 3.5 magic items take damage just the same as mundane ones of the same type as per DMG214 under damaging magic items.

You can attack while prone. Try to trip the mofo and initiate a grapple ... that is, if you are the right type of character to do so. Being an elf mage straddled by an orc barbarian may choose to play possum(how's THAT for an image?)

Really? From what I've seen about 4e, compared to earlier edtions, it seems to me that 4e is not metal enough. I don't think there can be such thing as TOO metal. There is just enough or not enough.

How about Poison? Inflict spells? Summons would might be good .... A twinned healing spell suonds like a good thing to have handy in a pinch.
