Moving through squares occupied by non-combatants

I disagree. An immobile creature is evidently "neither" (and so is considered difficult terrain). This is RAW. A confused, unobservant or impartial creature might behave similarly, neither getting out of your way nor preventing you from passing.

Moving through squares occupied by non-combatants

I believe this thread concerns creatures that desire neither. Or, given the situation that the OP presented, are you saying that the DM should somehow 'get it straight from the house's mouth'?

Moving through squares occupied by non-combatants

I just found this in the rules (if it helps): "A creature can move through a space occupied by a paralyzed creature—ally or not. Each square occupied by a paralyzed creature, however, counts as 2 squares." Viewing non-combatants similarly seems reasonable.

    Strength of 0 and flying

You can take purely mental actions when at 0 strength, but I would not consider any magical flying as purely mental unless is says so (as it does for example: on the astral plane). Edit: I stand corrected. The RotG (if desired) does indeed say: "Paralyzed: Paralyzed creatures can take only...

    Magic Fist Unarmed Strikes?

Yup, but I don't believe that an unarmed strike is considered a natural attack (barring a special ability, like the monk's). Regardless, here are some tips regarding permanent Greater magic fang: 1) Caster level 20 gives you a +5 natural weapon. Also, CL20 is immune to regular dispel magic (the...

Greater dispel magic actually (the DC for CL20 spells is too high for regular dispel magic). If your DM routinely tosses GDM's you way, a ring of counterspells can help.

Ring of Improved Invisibility [2002 Thread]

Re-iterating: there was in 3.0 (when the post you responded to was created). Thread-necromancy occurred somehow.

Ring of Improved Invisibility [2002 Thread]

Good catch. Didn't notice that. Heh... It did in 05-01-02. How did find that?

    Monk Weapons

However, a permanent greater magic fang +5 (about 9k gp) is cheaper than the +5 quarterstaff

Ring of Improved Invisibility [2002 Thread]

Unsure if this helps but: 1) A regular ring of invisibility, if made intelligent, could technically activate itself (theoretically doing so after you attack each round). 2) The Epic rules for intelligent magic items have greater invisibility as an 'Awesome Power' option.

    Monk Weapons

Correct. It only increases the damage if the monk uses a single attack and/or power attack.

    Monk Weapons

Usually: penetrating DR. Often a monk will carry a silver, adamantine, cold iron or holy weapon simply to get past DR. Other uses: 1) Staff for 2-handed damage and 2-handed bonus when disarming. 2) Kama for tripping (in case your DM doesn't allow tripping with unarmed strike) 3) Shuriken for range

    Mithral Question

If the OP has such a DM, then he will do well to sell his cups, plates and cutlery individually (rather than by the pound). The shrimp forks alone should be worth a small fortune.

    Mithral Question

100 gp per pound. Pretty low compared to the 500 gp per pound price in the DMG is for worked mithral items... but maybe it's for unrefined mithral. Interestingly though: a small mithral dagger (counts as masterwork) is cheaper than an actual masterwork dagger.

Can vampires go swimming in lakes and oceans unharmed?

If it were, that would technically make it the letter of the law. A statement of spirit/intent is normally not present in legal matters either. Instead, the judge uses the 'everyday man' interpretation of the intent (which may or may not be ambiguous). In this case, we have: "Vampires are also...

Can vampires go swimming in lakes and oceans unharmed?

I disagree. I can (and have before) listed absurdities that can result if one chose strict RAW over RAI. This is because rules are unlikely to always be written with perfect wording (nor do we expect them to). Regardless, RAI is applicable for discussion in a rules forum (despite your own...

Can vampires go swimming in lakes and oceans unharmed?

Yes. That appears to be the "traditional" reference for vampirisms, including this particular weakness (it's similar to how we would typically reference Tolkien when debating beards on female dwarves in 3e, even though there are many different accounts of dwarves). Feel free to yourself, but...

    Making your own power cards

Will you be posting them? Since this seems to be good idea, is anyone planning to create an area to store all these things? Maybe even an area where everyone can collaborate, provide pictures, etc.?

Can vampires go swimming in lakes and oceans unharmed?

I disagree. The description for this particular weakness appears to be based solely on those myths, without any particular deviation or elaboration. As such, it can provide useful background information for those that desire it, especially if the matter is subject to some interpretation.
