    Select 3 new O.L.D. Traditions

    don't see any suggestions I don't like, but if we had to prioritize I would second the craftsman suggestion. seems like you could make this character - craft specific the way you would with college studies. on the prison subject, my group did find that tradition to be a little sticky as they...

    Pathfinder -> OLD Conversion Report

    Thanks/You're welcome. Honestly, these were only level 2 Pathfinder characters, so I figured allowing them to keep all their equipment and take one extra tradition would be about equivalent. There was a lot of fudging with the traditions taken though, considering the somewhat limited initial...

    O.L.D. & N.E.W. Errata Thread

    Noticed a confusing use of the word "Ambidexterity" in OLD... Firstly, became familiar with this word as a Combat Trick. But then.... a player took it as a Skill! Of course, I went to correct him and explain the difference between Skills blah blah blah, but then he pointed it out to me right...

    Some new O.L.D. races

    Muahahahaha! Can't wait to see em. :)

    Pathfinder -> OLD Conversion Report

    Edit: Whoops! I didn't realize I was making a post at the same time as uploading my character sheet. So my group finally got around to tackling the conversion of our player characters from Pathfinder to O.L.D. It wasn't seamless, but it seemed to work out to everybody's satisfaction. A couple...

    Some new O.L.D. races

    Ahem. This is all well and good, but uh, thanks for hijacking my thread about the encouraging of posting new content into a lengthier discussion about OGL. Pssh. :p

    Linguistics / Languages

    I like it! Both ideas seem entirely reasonable / workable. Fluency levels would be especially awesome (though I guess it would depend on the competency of the GM & players' roleplaying). The Pathfinder language system of just "knowing" multiple languages always kind of irked me a little when...

    Working on a Spreadsheet Character Generator

    Yeah, actually, the drop down lists were making me wonder if I was doing something wrong (LibreOffice.) The one thing in Linux that Windows overshadows... stinkin MS Office. ha.

    Linguistics / Languages

    I haven't run across anywhere how one might handle a multi-lingual campaign world within WOIN. There is a "Linguistics" skill mentioned in the playtest doc, but I haven't spotted any other references to how that might be used ala D&D/Pathfinder. How do you mediate how many languages a character...

    Some new O.L.D. races

    While I won't say that your observations are invalid, I would tend to disagree, especially with the part I quoted above. Rules outlined in the playtest docs for customizing your own races / traditions / etc seem like they will need plenty of playtesting, too.

    Working on a Spreadsheet Character Generator

    Awesome, please keep up the updates! I was looking for the other guy's model but couldn't ever find it.

    Some new O.L.D. races

    Haha good stuff. I'll pretend the double entendre was intentional. ;) And thanks! I've always been a fan of the gobbos and other "baddie" races, myself.

    Some new O.L.D. races

    I am thinking that if someone were to play a Wicked Wolf, they could take the Riding skill and it would apply to how well they handle themselves when there's some two-legged creature on their back.

    Some new O.L.D. races

    I have submitted a couple new races under EN World's W.O.I.N. Races/Species database. I am surprised so few people have been posting to it outside of Morrus / LucasC! (hint *coughcough* creative GMs out there) High Goblin The "noble" race of goblins is only so in their ability to command...

    Herosheets Kickstarter Stretch Goals

    Hey, I quite dig the Herosheets Kickstarter union, but I am a tad confused as to why the Ship Builder comes before the Character Generator? So if we hit the first goal but not the other, then Herosheets will have this awkward N.E.W. exclusive add-on next to its Pathfinder offerings, rather than...

    Degrees of success

    Haha I have also discussed converting my house Pathfinder campaign to O.L.D. with my group. There are definitely some growing pains associated with re-learning how to dice roll and the somewhat different combat rules for these poor d20 people, but I seem to have sold them on the "role-play"...

    MegaCredits and their value

    Yeah stick with the metric wording, for real. Kilocredit. tehe.

    Traditions / Careers

    Hmm. I will respond with more detailed evaluations soon, but for one example it's hard to say whether the problem is really a problem or just something that takes a little player imagination to solve. For a "high goblin" (custom race) who was intended to be built as an assassin, it seemed like...

    Monsters (Custom)

    In addition to the content, I like the stat block format.

    Traditions / Careers

    Forgive me if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I am on primitive 3g and too impatient to wait until I can get home to a desktop browser for efficient searching. I adore the careers system for character building. It's an extremely effective way of giving your stat block a story...
