Page 119 of the PHB, second column, first paragraph: "For purposes of weapon proficiency and similar feats, a composite longbow is treated as if it were a longbow. Thus if you have Weapon Focus (longbow), that feat applies to both longbows and composite longbows."

The rules say a character cannot "make more than one attack for a given opportunity," (p137 PHB) but if the provoking action takes more than one round to complete, it should count as a seperate provoking action.

That's true. Better to be charmed/confused/feebleminded/scared silly/etc... than dead, but I can definitly see the benefit. I'd at least like to have the option of when to take action instead of having the decision out of my hands. And the few monks I've seen make it to mid and high...

Well, I was going to suggest the Vassal of Bahamut (BoED) or the Platinum Knight (Drac), but since those options aren't available to you, I recommend you just stick with Paladin levels.

Try a Barbarian/Bear Warrior/Warshaper/Frenzied Berzerker. By 20th level, it'll recieve a +30 to strength and a +12 to constitution when raging and frenzying. If you really want to be silly, make its alignment good give it Sacred Vow and Vow of Poverty from the Book of Exalted Deeds.

I saw (or thought I did) a feat that allowed a character to switch a character's dexterity bonus from AC to weapon damage, but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it, or the name of the feat. Alternatively, it might have been a class feature. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
