The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

Telsayn moves up between the two skirmishers, directly "northwest" of Mira. His bellowed challenge turns into a blast of acid heading North, catching Skirmisher 4 and the Skirmisher without a number. 1d20+4=18,+1d20 4=15 versus REF for 1d6+2=7, 1d6+2=3 damage. He then focuses his fury on...

    D&D Gameday: Into the Shadowhaunt

I went to the game day - Neumos is across the street from me, and it's the main HQ for D&D game day. I played first in the Shadowhaunt game as the Human Cleric. We pretty much walked through it - I had half the riddle (I knew who Pelor was, just didn't catch the sire reference) but we got it...

Initiative (1d20-1=4) Since Telsayn is going last, I'm going to hold off until some of the other actions have been resolved before I state my action.

I'm willing to go with whatever people want as far as marching order goes - but FYI, It's Telsayn, not Teslayn. ;)

Putting Telsayn at the rear is actually quite tactically sound - encounters we walk into the front of we'll probably have some warning of, and can reposition ourselves. We're more likely to be flanked or attacked from behind - and in those cases, having Telsayn at the back actually works better...

I agree with the need for grids, but I'm willing to try other suggestions. I'm also a fan of that marching order that got laid out.

"Nor would I insult you by assuming so. I find that it is best to be honest and straightforward in my dealings, and don't game the system as long as the system doesn't try to game me." DM OOC:Cadorna manor? Ever play Pool of Radiance?

I've got no in person gaming group, but I do live across the street from Neumos . I'm thinking about dropping in on Saturday and seeing if I can network a game.

"A wise decision. Ears, I think, would be sufficiently distinctive yet portable enough, and unlikely for us to come across without having first detached their head from their shoulders. Will that work for your accountants?." OOC: Huh, I can't argue with that. I think a "professional outcome"...

The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

To the party, privately: "The way I see it, the caravan can leave when we retrieve the materials - taking the Kobolds tomorrow morning won't delay the caravan two weeks. It probably is best to wait until all of us can see properly." To the warden: "Sir Warden, I have heard from different...

The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

"I'd say that we feel the same way about Kobolds that you would feel about rats. Although some of you actually seem to like the little disease-ridden plague beasts, so I can't be certain that's a good comparison. I say we crack a few skulls, then take a break."

"What my friend meant to say is that we would like a table, with victuals, and if you happen to know this Dagron fellow, we'd like to have a short chat with him." Diplomacy check (1d20+9=11) To Mal: "You do realize that you have now advertised to everybody in the tavern two things: One, that...

The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

"No more than the slime that crawls out of your throat when you've had a bit too much to drink yourself. Of course, as I understand it, you don't enjoy it quite as much. I understand that the sensation would be somewhat comparable to expectorating in your species. Would you like to make a...

The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

"Ah, the sweet dregs of the bottle, what a pleasant memory," rumbles Telsayn. "It's a pity about the wall, however. I think it's the dwarven brew, it doesn't agree with my metabolism. Well, perhaps this will set our pockets right, although I wouldn't underestimate a Goblin, you never know...

Um, oops. Just corrected a linguistic issue - Telsayn only speaks Common and Draconic. My bad for stealing someone else's template.

A mix of A and C sounds good to me as well. I ran a PBEM myself for a while back when 3.0 came out, but it fizzled out after a couple of years(!) so I'm a little out of practice myself. :P The one thing that I keep thinking of when I see the title is "The Taking of Pelham 123".

Telsayn has a bit of gastric distress and accidentally takes out a good chunk of the market. (1d20+4=23, 1d6+2=4)
