    Dragon #356

There will be feats in #358. Now I don't remember #357, though. :\ *harried*

Egads - Your killing me Pazio :-)

That's bizarre. We haven't knowingly included those in our magazines for about six months now. Thanks for letting us know, though. :)

Who Else Thinks This Chick is Hot?

If you're offended, there is a companion thread. :)

Who Else Thinks This Chick is Hot?

Awww... okay. I'll leave then. :(

Who Else Thinks This Chick is Hot?

Yikes. Her "bikini" bottom looks really, really, really, really uncomfortable. I'd think after about two minutes of wearing that she'd be happy to trade it for a chainmail bikini. :D As for the original picture that started this thread: I voted no. She's too scrawny and also her face is not...

Saying goodbye to dragon and dungeon magazines?

Advertising is actually one of the last things finalized. It has not yet been alloted. I'm not advocating for or against this idea (I'm obviously biased and will keep my fool mouth shut on the thread's main purpose). I'm just providing information. :)

Sell me on Wizards books published since Complete Divine

I heartily recommend Spell Compendium, Complete Scoundrel, and Magic Item Compendium. Not that I'm at all biased, of course.

Oh believe me, if I were the art director there'd be tons more of that! As it is, I think Sarah does an excellent job balancing the different looks of different artists. I always enjoy it when Andrew Hou, James Zhang, and Julie Dillon appear in the magazine. :)

    Dragon #355

Hmm... I don't think D&D players want badly drawn B&W figures in a poorly rendered quasi-anime style.

Postal Rate Changes & Dragon !

I think you'll find this will have little to no effect on the subscription cost or cover price for Dragon or Dungeon.

[Rant] Do editing/proofreading errors drive you mad, too?

Oh they have a style guide. A 70-page style guide. But it doesn't cover the order in which certain stats appear in stat blocks, for example. And before I let this devolve completely into an anti-Wizards of the Coast thread, let me state that I was being slightly facetious. I tend to...

I don't know how you guys could disagree about that. It's perfectly obvious the sky is a rich chartreuse, right? :) Right?

    Dragon #355

True. But do we really want to go back to the look and physical feel of the TSR books? The tactile and visual difference between second and third editions owes a lot to the change from a company struggling to remain in business to a company with gobs and gobs of money to spend (and, in the case...

    Not a bad idea. ;)

Oh pish posh. You've been in this industry at least as long as I. New Guy, indeed. :p

[Rant] Do editing/proofreading errors drive you mad, too?

There's the Wizards of the Coast way of doing things (which sometimes changes with every new book that comes out, much to the sorrow of editors). It's in a company's best interest to create a stat block format that looks similar to the Wizards of the Coast way, or else said company runs the risk...

    Dragon #355

There are only so many iconic words so far produced from Eberron. :( It's called editorial fiat, and it's something that affects every magazine and journal in print. The only reason you might think we primarily publish articles we like is because we're very open about our editorial process...

[Rant] Do editing/proofreading errors drive you mad, too?

I assumed you were. I guess I didn't make it clear that I was just playing along. :) Finding errors in stat blocks in d20 products is like finding sand in a desert. Hmm... I like that little saying, but unfortunately it doesn't address your questions. ;) Ordinarily, I wouldn't get in on this...

[Rant] Do editing/proofreading errors drive you mad, too?

I would think a managing editor's first task is to manage. Leave the copyediting to the copyeditors (if you have them) whenever possible. Now, if you're the ONLY editor in your company, well... :\ Sometimes, Morrus, depending on the writer, it takes MORE work to edit the book than it took the...
