Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

With the fall of Rinch, the scene shifts quickly from desperate battle to swift clean-up. Acting with the certain confidence of a desk jockey moving papers from inbox to out, Andrec sheathes his sword, striding purposefully forward, driving the mad cultist back into the room and further from...

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

Keeping a wary eye on Rinch, Andrec whips a slender cloth out of an unseen pouch, managing to tie off one of Jarel-Karn's bleeding wounds while the necromancer is distracted by other foes. Calling words of encouragement to his allies, Andrec steels himself for the next few bloody minutes, and...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

Those were just ideas. I am a big fan of knowing the rules beforehand, even if I have to make them up. If the consensus is fo ahead have fun, then cool. No guidelines. I'm okay with that, I just want to see the discussion come up now, rather than later. I am curious how people feel about a...

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

Does anyone have a ranged basic attack that is usually readied (i.e. I have a power that allows a 'Basic Attack' from a nearby ally: Is there anyone who could benefit from this?)

Moce Avtion: Shift to M2. Standard Action: Melee Basic against zombie @ N2 vs. AC 13 (1d20+8=9) Fail. I can't Inspiring Word Montroya: He's too far away. Maybe One-Who-Waits can re-summon KV up next to him, and heal him that way? I seem to recall leaving people in the red for HP is bad...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

    1) If each character who can have domains gets to choose which ones, but must be approved individually, isn't that like making the majority of divine characters individual proposals? That seems like more work than codifying the sets now. It's also the major reason I think the gods should have...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

Source mentioned above was (somehow) a page I had not seen. It makes some things clear, but begs the question: Can the 'Old Gods' be worshipped by players, and do they grant domains? Also, I think one of the simplest ways to alleviate the confusion of 'i think my way is better' is to allow...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

You've got Persephone in there, and I don't understand why. She's less a goddess and more a tale, in my experience. From the classic twelve, you got her replacing Dionysus/Baccus, who himself bumped Hestia out of the pantheon (But she'd kind of overlap with Hera/Juno, so better to stick with...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

True. But if we allow 'evil' domains, perhaps we should consider doing four domains per god. Otherwise, you limit the interactions of the non-evil domains, and as we're trying to keep a small pantheon (I'd personally like to keep it to the main twelve, but that's just me) it means less options...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

One thing I feel it important to note about the domains, is the nature of the 'evil' domains. While each of the traditional greek/roman gods had their darker, pettier sides, and thus qualify for one or more 'evil' domains. However, Divine Power suggests that the purpose of these domains is...

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

Move Action: go to L1. Standard Action: Melee Basic Attack against zombie @M2 (+8 vs AC 13, 1d8+4) Minor Action: Inspiring Word on Mesa (The power doesn't say requires line of sight, so I'm assuming the stack of crates isn't a problem). Mesa can spend a surge for Surge+1d6.

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

Personally, I want to see it done one way or another, because I want to use domain-related feats. I suggested in my post the "temple" concept, wherein each particular people worships the god their own way, attributing different domains. That would allow a great deal of flexibility to the...

Whatever happened to the gods, anyways?

Back when Divine Power came out, the talk about the book was mostly about Hero of the Faith and Astral Seal. A couple of us looked at assigning Domains to the gods here at L4W, but those comments got overwhelmed in that thread by talk of mechanics. Was there another discussion elsewhere, or...

Who is active? Who is on an adventure and who is looking to join?

I would love to see a "Notes" column at the end. For example, my character Andrec would say: "I'm a buffer, not a healer; likes melee groups". I would love to know, going into an adventure and without extensive research, what kind of characters are in the party.

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

While it seems to be the plan anyway, I just wanna say that I'd like to see us leave Rinch for last, and surround him with our melee fighters. We can finish him off in a couple rounds if we focus on him, and I don't see him being a danger if we do that. On the other hand, I can't see his...
