    Splatbooks to Beware of?

Wow, I can't tell if you're being snarky or serious here. >.>

    Splatbooks to Beware of?

Yes, an immediate action. And as I have been telling people for awhile: The Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil is strong for PCs, but broken for NPCs. Beware of using them against your players. For PCs, however, it's probably fine.

    Splatbooks to Beware of?

3 + Int modifier per day uses. You can only metamagic things in this way if you are modifying someone else's spell while they are casting it (requiring a readied action), or on some existing persistent spell effect. The Spellcraft DCs can get absurdly high, though -- DC 18 + 3 *...

    EXEXCRUCIATION - a Noblilis PbP

Okay, cool. So do I get to know about what happens to them after I've done so? ^.^ I wanna reaction! I was wondering if I had to penetrate Auctoritas, but since Michael's not in him, he doesn't have one yet...

    Exexcrucication - a NOBILIS PbP

Just to note a bit -- having a virtue makes you supernaturally adept at finding the most Virtuous alternative to solving a problem. Whatever that might mean. By the way, has the gaming contract been completed yet? (And has anyone seen Lichtenhart, again...?)

    EXEXCRUCIATION - a Noblilis PbP

Well, okay, information on the circumstances of his innocence and guilt is what I was more or less looking for. Try this: Alyra gives Michael an indicative look. "Mind if I give your boy there a new lease on life?" I think I'd like to Lesser Creation of Innocence Thomas, and see if I can't...

    EXEXCRUCIATION - a Noblilis PbP

I cannot believe I didn't think of this. Alyra places a hand on Michael's shoulder meaningfully. "Wait a moment." And then, to her Estate: Is Thomas innocent or is he guilty? Lesser Divination of Innocence. In terms of purity/responsibility, by the way.

Can You Manifest a Psionic Power While Gaseous?? WAS:Windwalk and Psionics?

Y'know, the 3.0 SRD was very clear about it, and I'm not sure why they dropped this line: But if you want background for the "psionic powers provoke AoOs" thing, here you go. This is the exception to the rule that manifesting powers provokes attacks of opportunity. Exceptions to the rule...

    That is so adorable.

    EXEXCRUCIATION - a Noblilis PbP

Alyra Tannenbaum, Marchessa of Innocence Alyra merely stands back, observing the spectacle a bit disinterestedly -- a short attention span, this girl. "Well, Mamba, I s'pose you've got this all in hand," she says. Her eyes light upon the form of the woman on the bed, and, taking a moment...

    Would You Take this Deal?

Heck no. Unless I got DR Infinity/nonmagic.

Should Players Engage With The Rules?

Nono. I meant as a player. Just to clear that up.

Where would I find an elemental focus feat?

Well, there's Cold Focus/Fire Focus/etc. from the environment books...?

By the book campaign, 2 levels in one session!

And yet it really just ends up being annoying. Speaking as someone who was several levels lower than the party and, contrary to what the normal 3.5 XP rules would suggest, earned significantly less XP than the rest of the party who were higher-level because the GM decided (rather arbitrarily...

    Describing things to players

I have to admit that I really like it when the descriptions in the adventures I buy have lines for every sense: sight, sound, taste, touch, smell. I really should emulate this for my normal descriptions, but haven't yet gotten 'round to it.

Should Players Engage With The Rules?

Going even farther than that, I agree with that one Magic article -- the essence of which amounted to, "Having defined rules allows you more creativity." Writers write more productively on weeks when they're given a topic, as opposed to weeks in which they have to come up with their own. It is...

Races of Eberron *Update - Couple of folks have it - Ask questions here*

Xen'drik boomerang, drow scorpion chain, and drow long knife. To get the bonus, you have to -- unsurprisingly for those who have read about the Scout and know of the Skirmish ability -- move more than five feet "under your own power." You also get to apply various weapon feats from similar...

Do you ever play in Eberron?

I'm running an Eberron game at the moment, and my players are obsessed. To the point where they will call me and ask me if we can't please please please have another/an earlier gaming session. Personally, as a historian, I'm most impressed by the sense of history suffusing the setting. Mmm...

Should Players Engage With The Rules?

There's nothing stopping you from adding to your house rules something to the effect of, "You are not allowed to know the rules of the game. You must act as if you do not know the rules at all. Knowing the rules is Treason. Trust the Computer! The Computer is your friend!"
