Problem is in those high level fights you don't always have a round to spare drinking a potion. Mages and Clerics are running around with Persistent buffs by then, tossing save-or-dies (at your allies likely), and a good rogue or fighter can probably drop you in 2 attacks.

I think one of my groups won't change because right now we aren't even playing D&D. The other one, I can't see everyone going out and buying them soon. My experience with WotC has prompted me to wait untill 2nd printing, so I probably won't but till at leats a year from now anyway.

I think everyone has used up all the hints I know, but here's one. The 3.5 PHB won't have its cover falling off like my current core books :D

Luddite, i dunno if you are on crack or what but the Spycraft feats are MUCH better than the d20 modern feats. By 'better' i don't mean more powerfull, i mean BETTER. In d20 Modern you need to take 2-3 feats to do something Joe Blow off teh street could do, gain benefit from taking time...

Similar problem in the game I play in. We had a fighter that rushed ahead all the time, impatient to get into combat. After 3-4 death in a row he waits for us all now and is no longer afraid to consider running.
