    Rate King Kong

I just about agree. I'm not sure about the 'greatest ever seen' bit but it may be that way for me over time. It was definitely one of the best movie experiences I've ever had.

    Translating the SRD

The SRD has been translated into French at least, and maybe other langauges. It was probably done by a company that has the D&D license in that country.

    Kalamar - deities

I'd suggest checking the Kalamar forums found at www.kenzerco.com, which is a pretty active board and much more helpful for Kalamar issues than here.

    Rogue Sneak Attacks

Can someone also explain the cleave/whirlwindattack/bag of rats things as well? I've heard of this loophool several times but don't understand how it works

    PDFs on PDAs

Yeah, I agree that the SRD in non-PDF format on the PDA seems to work great. A friend of mine has the SRD in html format on his PDA, and he answers rules questions with amazing speed. One application that would be very useful would be a PDA-friendly character sheet

Is the lost city of gaxmoor part of the deal? That's a fairly interesting mega-campaign adventure.

Tomb of Horrors, White Plume Mountain - What would you have WotC update next?

Barrier Peaks is getting lots of love here. I've never played it so I am less aware, though I suppose the wierd techno stuff in it is something that would be handy to have a 3.5e conversion for. My vote would be for B4, particularly if it was a full conversion of all the levels, including...

Playing Oldschool - White Plume Mountain with 1e

My memory is hazy but didn't AD&D have an optional fighter attack progression that basically went +1 to hit per level ((i.e. a level 7 fighter would have beem +7 to hit, more or less what we have now), as opposed to +2 every two levels? That's a good point about stacking but remember that 3.xe...

    Opinions on gmail?

Just one question, how many of you are regularly on firewalled computers which block gmail and ohter webbased email services? (I suppose few since such a firewall might block enworld too :)) I've never had that, but a buddy of mine recently ran into that situation. He had a gmail account, but...

    PDFs on PDAs

Does anyone use a PDA to view PDF documents? What kind of memory and other requirements do you need on a PDA to effectively and conveniently view a PDF? How well to RPG related pdf documents (with tables and so forth) show up on PDA? Does it only work with smaller-sized PDFs (as opposed to...

What d20 Monster Books Have You Used?

One PDF series I found useful was EN Critters (from EN Publishing). Each PDF has monsters from a focused terrain type or locale, a format which I find a very useful. Others I've used include Tome of Horrors, MMII, Fiend Folio, and a few others.

Official Books vs Unofficial: Your group's standard is?

Each DM I've been with (including myself) has had different ideas; some allow any source pending approval; but some allow WotC (or Paizo) only. One factor here worth considering is WotC as now covered a much wider range of topics than they had 3 years ago. Now, I have an 'official' source to...

    World Cup draw complete!

Thing is, draws happen in matches like those because it's sort of self-fulfilling. If a draw suits both teams, then both teams will strive for no less (and not necessarily any more) than a draw. Particularly in WC matches where there's a lot on the line and teams play ultra-conservative.

    OGC Wiki?

I don't think that's something that could be assumed. The numerous mistakes that appear on Wikipedia tell a different story.

Tell me about the Iridium system, and Roma Imperious

I've been been considering the product Roma Imperious, by Hinterwelt, as an RPG for a Fantasy Rome setting. It uses the Iridium system, which I"m not familiar with. Can anyone offer any comments on the system or the product?
