    Trap only encounter?

If it's LFR, then the party composition can be extremely variable. In a regular campaign, players tend to try to cover all the bases with their abilities, but in an LFR game you could easily end up with a party that has none of the skills needed to counter a trap.

How do you stat the town guard?

Good idea! These things are more fun in the abstract, anyways. I could see a bunch of skills being useful, particularly athletics and acrobatics, and you're free from hard-and fast combat rules so you're free to make up more impressive stunts to describe what you are doing.

    Trap only encounter?

Perhaps the boulder is undisarmable (undisarmable is a perfectly cromulent word). The problem I have with all-trap encounters is that while every character has something to contribute to a normal fight, not everyone can realistically do anything to counter traps. Sure, there are skills other...

    Random Eberron Geography Question

As long as you want! They can get lost, waylaid, the rail can have problems, they can accidentally ride their horses into a temporary manifest zone that delays them, etc.

accidentally hitting grabber instead of grabbee?

I could picture a feat (or perhaps a skill utility power?) that says something like "when you are grabbed and are targeted by an attack vs. AC or reflex, you can redirect the attack to the creature grabbing you as an immediate interrupt (basically a reverse of the bugbear strangler maneuver)...

    Scavenger's Guide to Droids

My favorite PC "combat" droids are the ones that aren't combat models. I designed a droid called XT-RMN8 who was an exterminator droid. Sounds dangerous until you realize it's basically a cleaning droid that was designed to get rid of vermin.

    Bear Shaman tips?

Voice of battle was tempting, though; it targets will, and, more importantly, the shift is an effect so you can do it whether or not you hit. What made me go for the Claws is that I already had a power that attacked will (protecting strike), and I figured that giving a heavy-hitter an extra...

    Race Elimination "Quarterfinal"

"I'm soooo special because I come from two races" and "woe is me, I am in-between two races and not accepted" are both valid racial assumptions. People like to play half-this and half-that because they want to seem like they are unique.

    My Warhammer 3E arrived today.

Most Important Question: Can you play a ratcatcher?

    Bear Shaman tips?

My human duck* shaman took claws of the eagle; i've found it incredibly useful, particularly when fighting undead alongside a paladin with Ardent Strike (radiant damage, hooray!)

It's because they are so darn elusive... you vote them off and they turn invisible for a round!

Bards - What Makes them Good?

One thing I like about bards (at least the cunning ones, which is the one I've seen in action) is that they seem to have a lot of things they can do outside their own turn, with their slide-after-miss thing, and immediate interrupt/reaction powers.

    Race Elimination "Quarterfinal"

I am voting Eladrins off because they think they are so awesome. And also because I think that teleportation powers should have been held off until paragon tier. And because an eladrin stole my bicycle. Why do you even need a bicycle, eladrin?!?!?

    December Rules Update Available

Darn it. Now my level 7 RPGA character suddenly has a level 11 item.... can I sell it for profit?

    Race Elimination "Quarterfinal"

Sure you would. With their diplomacy bonus to allies, you'd like their cohorts more than you like the half-elves!

    Chaos Bolt secondary target damage

Since you add the bonus damage to every target of Blazing Starfall, obviously you'd do the same with Chaos Bolt.

Chaos bolt: Max 3 attacks or infinite?

I interpreted it that way as well at first. You hit, that gives you the secondary attack, then the secondary attack gives you another secondary attack... then I thought that "obviously" unlimited secondary attacks was too good so "obviously" that was the limit. But since then I have been...

    Ardent Class: Predictions?

Maybe empathic damage transfer; Minor action to transfer the damage to the ardent, then some class feature allows the ardent to heal himself. Or, even better, transfer the damage to an enemy. It's a pirate dentist. Or maybe a dutch earth-based tree person (aard-ent)

Form of Winter's Herald: Iceman or Aura?

It takes some linguistic acrobatics, but I can make it interpreted as an aura (which is surely the intent). The area within 2 squares of the warden is difficult terrain. When the warden moves, ask, "is that square within 2 squares of the warden? no? then it is not difficult terrain." If they...
