Do We Know (Officially) when Barbarians and Druids will be Released?

I believe it's unsubstantiated rumor. Very clever and probably accurate unsubstantiated rumor, but rumor and extrapolation only.

    Right. That's the main reason...

    D&D 4E 4E sceptics - what do you like?

I'm a liker, so I shouldn't really be posting here. But I promise, I come unarmed! Icicle -- I like the way that your dislikes are also your hopes (in that they're all different sides of the same issues). It says a lot about us humans. You're alright. :)

Your choices are Kill, or ... Kill

In fairness, Hong isn't on the side of the f4nboys. Hong is on the side of hong. We just happen to have the misfortune to agree with him. :)

Reason 'squares' is better than 'feet': the metric system

Me too, here. Though I was really offput by 20' long dragons with 6" breath weapons. ;)

Reason 'squares' is better than 'feet': the metric system

That'd be silly. Smoots are the only way to go.

Any New Info on Skill Encounters?

I suspect at this point we're agreeing vociferously and just prepending "No" to the beginning of our posts out of habit :)

Trip is an Encounter Power now

Eh. There's a fine line, but I actually like KM's proposed fix for the /encounter ability. It depends how bad being prone is, what happens when you try to get back up, &c&c, but for those who don't like a short breather recovering their tripping-muscles, it's pretty reasonable. Me, I'm comfy...

    D&D 4E Two-on-Two 4e Brawl

Yesbut. The fighter's daily is "reliable" -- it only gets discharged when successfully executed :)

Reason 'squares' is better than 'feet': the metric system

Hunter -- that's very hard to read, that's why :) Even if you take out the bet-hedging, it's confusing and distracting. I think arbitrary units that nobody uses, but which are easy to adjudicate for in-game effects, with pretty clear rules on how to translate between them and real-world units...

Reason 'squares' is better than 'feet': the metric system

Historical Tangent! The Roman pace was *two* steps, which yours is too, if each step is a smidge over 2 feet. This is why the imperial mile (1000 paces!) is 52580 feet -- each pace (two steps, remember) is just a hair over 5.2 feet, as measured by a centurion on the march. And now you know.

Reason 'squares' is better than 'feet': the metric system

Sure, all the time, on the D&D battle map. :p

    Implementation of divine powers

No. That are not how this game are played. It wouldn't be a bad implementation, but neither is this.

5th Level Wizard Has 2 Daily And 2 Encounter Powers

I was going to repair this to say FIFY -- but I couldn't figure out what you meant. :( Sorry!

    Realism! Versamilitude! Other Words!

Too cheap to buy new books is a pretty piss-poor insult. Seriously, I'm sure everyone could do better if they tried -- please don't! -- so if it helps you any, Elf Witch, I definitely don't think there's any snubbage intended there. It's a pretty reasonable reason to not want to buy something...

    How's this merrow?

How do you want this encounter to go? I'd suggest, as ogres are big, slow moving brutes, giving the poor guy (water based -- pour guy?) the *opposite* of the warlock's ability, concealment when it moves less than 3 squares in the water. Besides, that's difficult terrain :) Give it another point...

Any New Info on Skill Encounters?

Derren: On the one hand yes, on the other hand no. D&D has always had an issue with skill systems -- we accept the abstraction of random rolls and loose definitions of actual occurrences in combat, because there is a large element of luck there and the point of the game is to kill bad people and...

How many spells each day and each encounter do we truly get?

I was admitting my own assumption, not challenging yours. Sorry to be unclear! I don't think the spells chapter tells us much about how powers are organized, though sure, I'd believe that there aren't any at-will powers at those levels. They are, however, upgrades of previous abilities --...
