    I hand waived 6 levels...

Well, I think I am going to go with a 16HD young adult half-fiend white dragon. Am I right in that he will get 5 feats? This will put him at a Challenge Rating of 11 or 12. I'm curious as to how the fire vulnerability will work with fire resistance 10.

    I hand waived 6 levels...

I'm not too sure, it was going to be based on the dragon type. It doesn't really have to be a dragon either, just something exciting and unique. Then again they have never played tenth level characters so anything will be exciting and unique. They are going to be finding a rare spell...

    I hand waived 6 levels...

So I should find a lower CR, closer to 10?

    I hand waived 6 levels...

Yup, I hand waived a year or two and four levels of game play. I've been kind of out of the DMing "feel" for the past few months when we game, but I feel obligated to DM, and I really do enjoy DMing even though sometimes It would be nice to play. I also felt the group was kind of non-excited...

    bluff as feint

So you get one standard and one movement, or two movement per round.

    bluff as feint

When using bluff as a feint is it a move action, and if so can you attack in the same round?

    Why are Dwarves Scottish?

I guess I'm out of the loop, but I always kind of pictured dwarves as Irish. The bright red beards, the ability to drink any man under the table and then some, ready to fight at the drop of a hat. Sounds like an Dubbliner.

    d&d miniatures collection tracking

I was about to sit down to the task of creating an excel workbook that would one sheet per set, and would help keep track of all the DDMs you have, how many of each, their points, possibly their current single's sale price. Before I do that, I was wondering if you guys knew of anything like...

What forms do you use while DMing?

I've been thinking of getting DM's campaign planner deluxe recently, and that got me thinking. Would I have a use for 90+ pages of forms? What type of forms or note sheets, or whatever, do you use while DMing. Which ones could you not DM without, and which ones could you do without?

    Gas Prices in Indy

Back in my day we didn't need yer high classed, high priced, fansy schmancy gas-o-lean. We used water to refuel our thirst as we walked to gencon uphill both ways. Oh wait, I'm only 23 and I have unfornatally never had the chance to attend Gencon. I do remember gas prices being a dollar and a...

    d&d mini's: getting the set

I looked at MerricB's site and couldn't find the buyers club. And you have to admit, it would be cool if the miniatures were placed back in boosters and then resealed with hot glue. ;)

    d&d mini's: getting the set

It could have possibly been something like a d&D mini buyers club. The set, IIRC, came re-sealed so you still got the pleasure of opening the boosters to see what you got. Only difference was you were garunteed a complete set.

    d&d mini's: getting the set

I recall a website I found through a thread once that was a place where you could buy a case of d&d minis and you were garunteed the entire set. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, and if so do you have a url you can send this way?

    Shareware the Pirates?

I must say that having a pdf on your computer is not all that convenient when it comes time to play at the table. I agree if you download a pdf and like it, purchase it for real use, if not delete it. I do think it is bad when someone downloads published, printed, or otherwise copyrighted...

    What's this guy's story?

Born in the historical town of Batesville AR, which isn't really all that historical, and isn't in the least bit interesting. It is however the home of Nascar Driver Mark Martin. My dad was a baptist preacher when I was younger so we ended up moving to Norman, OK in around 90. It was cool, but...

    overland travel

How do you handle overland travel across vast distances. My group is going to be traveling over almost an entire continent soon, and I don't want it to be several random encounters and a handwave. How do you make travel interesting in your games?

House Rules You Don't Realize You Have

I would have to say, then, that I as well house rule this. Charisma IMG has nothing to do with physical attractiveness.

    Item cards

Have any of you ever used cards to represent items in a player's inventory, handing them out to players when the find things. Maybe showing only a picture of the item, mundane stats, and weight. Also a reference number so the DM can check his version of the card? I thought about trying this...
