D&D 5E (2014) Wizard with 20 CON and the Durable feat

It's not poorly written. It's poorly interpreted. Anyone that reads the Short Rest rules should know exactly what the feat means. The problem is, people don't want to go read them.

You can't roll higher on a die than the die allows.

D&D 5E (2014) Wizard with 20 CON and the Durable feat

How is rerolling any Hit Die 5 and under bad? Hit Dice are spent individually, not as a whole. You spend one Hit Die then decide if you want to spend another, and then another, until you are done.

    D&D 5E (2014) Moar Feats

I am not sure what's confusing about Durability. If you have a 20 Constitution and you roll a d6+5 your for Hit Die, you can get up to 11 back. So the minimum you can get back is 10, the most you can get back is 11. If you roll a 1-5 you get 5+5 hit points back, if you roll a 6 you get 6+5 hit...

D&D 5E (2014) The Ranger: You got spellcasting in my peanut butter!

Druids are masters of the natural world, not rangers. Rangers are a lot of times the opposite, those that protect civilization from the darkness of the natural world.

D&D 5E (2014) Updates on DMG / Magic Item Creation and upcoming player books from D&D Adventurer's League Handbook

I want to know if there are plans to have a way for players to access this crunch without having access to the adventure. Hopefully this may mean crunch compilation books in the future. The best books in the 3e era were the Rules Compendium and Spell Compendium. Too bad they were fated to come...

D&D 5E (2014) Should the splatbooks to come be theme-based or class/race based?

My biggest request is for them to be good and not trash. The 3e era was just terrible and despite it's attempt to, I don't think it was much improvement over 2e. It just felt like they were writing anything to fill the book so they could sell it. I skipped the 4e era, but I doubt it was better.

D&D 5E (2014) The Ranger: You got spellcasting in my peanut butter!

So you are limited to how many traps you can setup around the camp and you can somehow designate a person who can't set off the alarm no matter what? Also the person who sets off the alarm can't hear it? Animals like the ranger, but only a few times per day and you can only make a few poultices...

    D&D 5E (2014) The Player's Handbook is a little over a week away!

I hate being torn between a printed book and some unannounced digital version. I have it preordered, but I don't know if I want to keep the preorder or see what their digital plans are. They should have included the digital version in with the book.

D&D 5E (2014) The Ranger: You got spellcasting in my peanut butter!

They have a spell to enhance the damage to their range attacks, healing, and spells to control the battlefield. Their utility spells are also quite good such as a spell to that gives 10 feet movement speed bonus, a spell that gives +10 Stealth to everyone within 25 feet of them and a spell that...

If they aren't supernatural then why are they limited per day? Why are there different levels of them? Spells like Alarm, Animal Friendship, Cure Wounds, Detect Magic, Fog Cloud etc. are magical.

D&D 5E (2014) The Ranger: You got spellcasting in my peanut butter!

Again, no. I think you should go read the ranger in the last playtest packet. I shouldn't have to expound. Both you and GX.Sigma know that what the ranger gets in the playtest packet can not be emulated by the Survival and Stealth skills. Both your snide remarks are not worth the time to go...

D&D 5E (2014) The Ranger: You got spellcasting in my peanut butter!

The non-spellcasting things rangers have always done in fantasy. Track, skirmishing abilities, the ability to move through wilderness unhindered, unseen, and without being tracked., etc.

D&D 5E (2014) A viable game and the vicious edition cycle

TSR was way overextended. They didn't just produce some campaign settings, they produced campaign settings and a dozen accessories for each one of them. They didn't just produce a CCG, they produced two CCGs that competed with each other. They turned Dragonlance into its own RPG to compete with...

    D&D 5E (2014) The Paladin excerpt

It's just not something I want to see in the PHB, much like I don't like the tiefling. Things like elves, halflings, gnomes, and dwarves are good because they resemble humans. This and the tiefling look like something out of a Monster Manual. The PHB art just isn't very appealing to me despite...
