    Dragon Fist physical copy

I am sad that there seems so little chance of getting the remake out. The art for it was particularly nice.

    Help with 2 Handed Khopesh

See, that's the thing. I have no idea what the balance value of axe/heavy blade is either. The military one looks great regardless, though, thanks!

    Help with 2 Handed Khopesh

For various reasons I need stats for a two-handed Khopesh. Now the original weapon is: So to make it two handed would I just up the damage to 1d10? The other option would be to just take a Falchion (2d4 dam, +3 prof, high crit, heavy blade), drop the proficiency bonus to +2, swap the high...

    D&D 4E Forked Thread: Al-Qadim, Land of Fate 4e

Hooo, that's right we have the PHB2 classes to contend with now. Divine: Invoker Avenger Arcane: Bard Sorceror Primal: Barbarian Druid Shaman Warden Hmm, I think most of them could be integrated. What I think is going to be most interesting, however, is accounting for the whole Primal power...

    My 4E Wishlist

PHB 3: Ki, Psionic, and Shadow Heroes Other Lines: Fey book is coming down the pipe, so that's cool. I'd love to see a series of cultural adventure series: Oriental Adventures Arabian Adventures New World Adventures Martian Adventures and so forth Rounded out (or even replaced) with stuff...

    KotS in 5 simple encounters

Ok. That's really really cool. I love the secret passage and the gelatinous cube. My one complaint is that ambushing the characters with Kobolds before they get to town is lots of fun. It gives them an initial visceral hook into the town's woes.

    Is 4E charmless?

My goal wasn't to wave the 4E banner so much as to express what is apparently a very different approach to world building from yours. That's why I started out by talking about how interesting it was that there were two such wildly divergent perspectives building off of the same points. Perhaps...

    Is 4E charmless?

Interesting. I was just about to make all of these points, except from a completely opposite perspective. 2E's plethora of settings and overwhelming amount of monster manual material really diluted the charm of DnD lore. I mean - Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance taken on their own charming...

Exalted for someone who doesn't like the d10 system

It's about campaign styles: The Exalted system is about supernatural duels. And possibly apocalyptic supernatural disaster scenes. It rocks out at that. Characters are as unique and powerful as superheroes. The 4E system is about adventuring. And taking about supernatural plots and...

    KotS in 5 simple encounters

Personally I'd say the out of dungeon encounters are the most interesting and would make a great plot to string together ending with a confrontation at the crypt. That said. For the Dungeon itself I think you should do: 1.) The Breaking in Encounter. Probably go at it with two stages. 2.)...

    Minions and the Iliad

In theory what you need is for the pacing to work as follows: Normal Monster/Homeric Footsoldier: lasts long enough to get killed in half a line. Named Monster/Homeric Named Character: lasts long enough to get a good sized geneaology and metaphor in. Somewhat Unusual Monster/Named...

    Jade Empire 4E game

I saw a pretty spiffy system for a similar setting where races were essentially chi conditions placed on your soul. So there weren't humans, elves, and so forth - just people who had attained different qualities or conditions upon their enlightenment over the course of reincarnation.

    Treasures For The God-King!

Behind the Treasury Doors are six rooms. Room 1: The vestibule. It's a vestibule. Lovely one though. Some great desks for greeting. Also a vast apparatus built off of hydraulics and weights that acts primarilly as a machine for the creation and tracking of reciepts. It has other functions...

Gold, Slaves, and Power: A New Order

It sounds a lot like you could use scenarios from the Latin Kingdom in Byzantium. The old kingdom had two distinct groups within the Aristorcracy. Provincial nobility consisting of the minor administrations and courts that ran the vast outer provinces and minor trade ports. And the Capital...

    Anyone using Onenote?

For those who are using Googledocs, you should also check out google notebook. It does not do what onenote does, but it does help to fill the gap between what docs and note.

    D&D 4E Forked Thread: Al-Qadim, Land of Fate 4e

Actually, all of the above are awesome. Any modifications I wanted to make to that I know rescind. Instead. The war between the Ghul and the Jann is the cause of the West's devastation. Whole tribes have been turned into Tieflings or Genasi as a result of the conflict as well.

    D&D 4E Forked Thread: Al-Qadim, Land of Fate 4e

So here's an idea: Multi-Class Feat - Beloved of Fate. You gain training in Religion. Once per encounter you may use the evil eye power. Evil Eye - Encounter - Divine - Immediate Interupt. You may apply a -2 modifier to an attack or skill roll made by another character. This penalty...

Forked Thread: Class Design: One Primary Attack Stat vs. Dual-Stat

All right. First, I think you're guiding principles are Ace. Second, the application, though, is going to be a little sketchy unless... ...you change the secondary attributes of all the powers so that they are the same across classes. So: Cleric: Primary Stat (Wisdom or Strength) Secondary...

    Reimagining the Halflings

All right, just to let you know, Mole-Lings is an awesome idea. Getting a new at-will, and such a game changing one, from a single feat seems unbalanced. At-will powers are extremely difficult to get in the basic rules of the game and that seems to be a deliberate flavor and balance choice...

For former Wizard fans stuck playing 4e...(Forked)

4.) You can always houserule that you can have a higher limit on the number of utility spells in your spell book, and that it takes a short rest to change one out. It won't interfere with game balance, and will make the wizard back into a utility monster.
