    QR codes in books?

I find it interesting the love and hate for qr codes. There seems to be no neutral ground. Except for people who are unaware of them.

    QR codes in books?

I think it needs to be done correctly if it's done at all. For example I could see some qr codes in the margins like how numenera has a lot of information in its margins. Another idea might be to have perhaps a glossary page in the back of the book with qr codes listed. This topic sort of...

    Discussion of the Cypher System

Edit: Ninja'd XP XP in Numenera is used for both advancement and spending on temporary bonuses. Spending various amounts of XP on things will give you different things. 1xp will give you an immediate benefit, rerolling any die roll, even another players. And refusing a GM intrusion. 2xp...

    D&D 5E (2014) Should Humans get subraces in 5e?

shouldn't those just fall under backgrounds?

    D&D 4E 4e/13thA immersion question and 5e/13thA DoaM question

Well as you say, it's not the weapon's damage but your own brute strength that is doing the damage.

D&D 5E (2014) Should there be multi-class versions of all the classes?

I think having starter packages is kind of like 4e's Feat multiclassing. You only get the best stuff if you started in that class.

D&D 5E (2014) Should there be multi-class versions of all the classes?

Or keep the font loading but place things into special starter packages that are only acquired if the class is the starter class.

D&D 4E What 4E books had later printings that were errata'd?

the big ones you mention monster math, steal rules and DCs are all in later books, stealth was in the PHB2 I believe. But yes, besides the deluxe books of the core 3 I do not believe any books were ever reprinted.

D&D 4E So all these wacky arguments are still about 4e, right?

Technically I think it was a fighting style that the ranger and paladin could pick up as well IIRC.

    D&D 4E 4e/13thA immersion question and 5e/13thA DoaM question

It seems to be something that the player knows about the game that the character would have no concept of. like Level, HP, Non-Magical Limits on abilities, Roles, Classes, etc... But Em's version is pretty interesting, ignoring or making justifications for classic Dissociation mechanics like...

D&D 5E (2014) Will the inclusion of the option of DoaM cause you to not buy 5e.

So wait, all of the fighter's options are just cries for special snowflake status? Because if a fighter chooses protection, then he is special right? This is related to fighters can't have nice things right?

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

Here is the issue though, with no guidelines enough room to maneuver could be as little as just not being helpless or a DM could require having dozens of feet of clear space to maneuver. It doesn't need to be squares, just guidelines.

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

Helpless I can understand. In in the description of the ability. But let's take that apart. How much room is enough room to evade? If it's just DM fiat, then we are no better off than if the rule was not defined in the first place.

    D&D 5E (2014) My happiness or yours.

But what about all of the other paying customers? Who's turn should it be? Just because you can feel entitled doesn't mean you are. Since I supported the last edition fully I feel entitled to a game that I do not hate.

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

At least I am quoting some sort of rules. You have been just jumping in with statements recently with no kind of citation. Please provide some sort of citation if you are going to make statements like "just so you know the rules say X" Even the pathfinder srd reflects what I posted above...

    D&D 5E (2014) My happiness or yours.

Why would you continue to play a game you likened to dog crap? Seems like your endurance was self inflicted.

    D&D 4E 4e/13thA immersion question and 5e/13thA DoaM question

I figured as much. It's just sad that so many use statements like that.

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

Could you point out where it says that? From the srd At 2nd level and higher, a rogue can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage...
