Guess I'm the only hexer so far ...

    OotS #588 is up

I think the OP meant Righteous Might. (Thor's Might in the comic, of course ...)

    Commander's Strike clarified: Ask Wizards

Yeah, it really can rock, as long as you stay close to the fighter instead of wandering off and doing your own thing. Tactical warlord rule #1: stay close to the fighter! :)

hunters quarry or curse on traps?????

In one of the games I played at Gen Con, a paladin's player tried to Divine Challenge a trap ... The DM slapped that down pretty hard. :)

Escape from Echo Base - Star Wars d20 (RCR) - Sunday 9:00 A.M.

Three questions: 1. Still looking for players? 2. Are newbies to the SW d20 system (who have played a variety of other d20 games) acceptable? 3. Do you have an age limit? (My sons are coming with me to the Con; one just perked up when he saw this ...)

    Oots #583

My question: did Elan's allies follow him without his knowledge? Or did they tell him the plan, and he just completely forgot?

    Question about warforged monks...?

From the 3.5 FAQ, pg. 5: "Is a warforged considered to be wearing armor for the purpose of using special abilities, such as a monk's fast movement? The composite plating of a typical warforged doesn't count as armor. Certain warforged feats, such as Adamantine Body (EC 50) specifically state...

Formian Queen, isn't she very vulnerable to CDG?

Eh, you've never seen me browsing the internet. :D

Question re Monk's Flurry and BAB from other class

Well, not exactly. The BAB for the unarmed strikes stacked, but the progression of -3 per additional attack (instead of -5) only applied to the BAB from the monk class for multiclass characters ... (pg. 55) (Lordy, why do I still have a 3.0 PHB? :) )

Necromancer Games NOT going with current GSL.

[Raises hand.] Saw an ad in Games magazine, IIRC, and convinced an uncle to buy it for me as a present. Early 1978, Holmes blue box edition.

Formian Queen, isn't she very vulnerable to CDG?

Just because she can't move (leave her space) under her own power, doesn't make her helpless. You can't CDG someone who's failed their save vs. Web--the fact that they're stuck (for now) in their current space doesn't stop them from ducking or weaving to avoid blows. The Formian Queen is...

Non-Druid Animal Form and the Tongues Spell

I don't see why it wouldn't ... There's nothing explicit in the spell about that, so it's really up to the DM. But our group is using this now to speak to & understand a character in our game with a homebrew race that communicates in a sound register beyond human hearing. We can't even hear him...

    Why are skill challenges "broken"?

You've got to do this kind of hard math work to design a working system, D'Karr. The goal is that once you're done, the DM doesn't have to--the math is built-in.

    Mika Tan in Nice Outfit

There are roughly 8 billion sites on the internet where this would be perfectly appropriate and on-topic. I've got a bunch of links in my favorites files if you'd like me to send you some ...

    Bell Curve - Ramifications?

If you're asking about intentions, it's pretty simple: games with lots of monster TPK's and few party TPK's are much more fun than ones that work the other way around ... The details of how that's arranged are more complex, which is why they pay game designers big bucks. (Cue bitter laughter...

    Help Finding Two-Hander Damage Bonus

Since two-handed weapons are always used two-handed, there's no need for special rules for when they're used two-handed. The additional damage is already included in their base dice.

Once per day non-magical effects destroy suspension of disbelief

OK, I'll refrain from sig-pointing to ask ... why? Why is it less ridiculous to say a particular unusual situation is likely to arise only about once every five minutes of combat than to say another unusual situation is likely to arise only about once every thirty minutes? That's all the...
