    Lost a fun player

Early last night I lost a good friend. He was one of the first people I played D&D with and he always provided good moments. I just wanted to share a few of them. One time he was playing a minotaur who wanted to sneack up behind an NPC but was without weapons. Don't ask me why he was without...

Class based on item creation...what have you tried?

Wow, that is actually what I am looking for. We will have to go over it with a fine tooth comb but thank you very much for the link.

Class based on item creation...what have you tried?

W/O the book infront of me I really can't explain detailed enough. But I can say that it did get a really big overhaul that has actually improved it. The formula for creation of devices is better for the class. But I get this feeling that it could be a whole lot better.

Class based on item creation...what have you tried?

Yes we have and honestly, for myself, don't find the class to be interesting enough. Although it is an item creation class of sorts, IMHO it is just a spell hacker. I guess I am under the impression that such a class like the Tinker, is better off as an NPC. Or the best that can be is an...

Class based on item creation...what have you tried?

So recently my old DM and I have been trying to figure out a class, much akin to the Tinker class in WoWrpg, and it doesn't seem to be coming along. We have several different theories and samples but they all seem to be lacking. I know the WoWrpg Tinker class is probably the best there is...

Has anyone tried a primordial D&D setting?

Exactly what I was thinking for our primordial campign. I want to thank all of you for your info and expierences on this subject. It has helped us figure out a direction of where we want to go with this. It has also helped us invision this a little more.

Has anyone tried a primordial D&D setting?

That completely counts! Primordial can be how ever you want it to be, because this is a fantasy setting.

Has anyone tried a primordial D&D setting?

Right, we are checking to see if we have interest outside of our own to do this setting. One of the ideas we were tossing around was world creation. We wanted the PC's to have a hand in creating a world by what races they wanted. So each player gets to pick a race they want in the world...

What classes haven't been done yet?

Something like the Tinker class from World of Warcraft RPG. I know they have a PrC that does something like that. I think it could make for a good class to play and something that hasn't been explored in D&D...or I just don't know if they have tried.

Is WOTC falling into a problem like the old TSR did

Well WoTC is in the business to be a business for gamers. They can't really be expected to sit and not release much of anything and still be a functioning business. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Is WOTC falling into a problem like the old TSR did

I would love to see a collection of feats and PrC put into corrisponding books. This would make it easier on some of us who are permitted to use whatever book we can excuse but don't have the means to carry every book we have.

House rules that relate to the "How house rules are changing my Scout." thread.

Yeah, he is a friend. But I just think his ideas are making the game too complicated. I wouldn't say he likes the Sorcerers, he just thought that changing them like that would make them better.

House rules that relate to the "How house rules are changing my Scout." thread.

So here it is, to all of you who have contributed to my post on my possible DM's house rules. What you are about to read are the house rules that I asked for and have finally recieved. Now, mind you that I am actually considering the Bard because nothing, so far, appears to be changing on him...

Worst D&D adventure of all time?

Oh come on. Not every module was crap. I still run When Black Roses Bloom, and in fact, ran it as an XCrawl tie in. Night of the Walking Dead was just plain fun.

How house rules are changing my Scout. Now with an exciting update as of 8/29/05

Yeah, I am seriously thinking that throwing in the towel is the better option. Like I said, I asked him for all this in writing. I gave him an example of a DM I play with on Sundays who has a website dedicated to his world. Infact, here is a link to it...

How house rules are changing my Scout. Now with an exciting update as of 8/29/05

**update** So I talked to the DM about his changes, here is what he said. Trapfinding: I never took that away from you (Although I distinctly remember him telling me I didn't have it and confirmed it with me when I repeated it back to him.) Battle Fortitude: Replaced with the three points...

How house rules are changing my Scout. Now with an exciting update as of 8/29/05

Yeah, I am going to talk to him and see if I can get a list of changes. I also agree that I am seeing a lot of inconsistencies heading my way. I wouldn't say I am desperate, but it has been a while since I have played. Plus this is his hombrewed world and I told him I would play to help him...
